Reminder that the field trip to OPRF is this Friday the 19th! We meet at the cafeteria doors at South Campus, and we will be picked up at 6:15. If you haven’t turned in your permission slip and $5, don’t forget to bring it with you on Friday! No normal meeting that day. Make sure you have a ride to bring you home from OPRF at 10:15!
Slight error in the schedule. There is no meeting on October 9th due to Colombus Day the following Monday, however, there IS a meeting on the 16th.

A general guide about meeting dates:
We will meet every Friday, UNLESS there is no school the following Monday. There is no late bus on those days, so we can’t meet. Of course, there will be some exceptions, like the Day of Silence. This is what helped me remember when there’s a meeting when I was a freshman last year. Of course, if you’re ever unsure, just look at the schedule or ask a friend!
Reminder that tonight at 7 pm in the South Campus fieldhouse is co-curricular night. PRISM will be there, so show up and try signing up for this year! Maybe we can also convince some new freshmen to join?
Was gonna make this post at my own blog, but I decided to make it here.
When I first realized that I was gay, I was very afraid that I wouldn’t be able to marry who I loved when I was older. That fear really controlled my life for quite a long time, and I didn’t think I would ever be successful or happy when I grew up simply because of my sexual orientation. When marriage equality was finally achieved in Illinois, a lot of my fears were lifted, and I was somewhat confident that I might grow up and become something. However, a lot of close friends of mine and several people across the US didn’t have that luxury. I am so happy that thousands of LGBT+ youth will no longer have to live with some of the fear I had to experience.

Quick reminder that the first summer PRISM meeting is today from 7-9! It will be at the same place where our movie night was held, so don't forget!
