Lies Are
That I never think of you. That I don’t miss you, either.
That I stopped wanting you; That you were never my type.
That I don’t remember every word you wrote to me. That I disregarded those poems somewhere inside the sea.
That I never loved you Because you always felt I did. That we were being fools, Acting solely like kids.
That I’d forget you. That I regret you. That you were a side, While holding it down better than the ride.
That she loved me. That we could be. That my heart was cold. That my soul is getting old.
Everyone knows I don’t love that way, So I hope that the lies were always obvious.
Maybe not. We’ll all survive.
