â  goodness,  vivi!  your  skin  makes  this  makeup  pop!  â  you  say  happily  as  you  apply  the  eyeshadow  on  the  venezuelan.  rummaging  through  your  makeup  bag,  you  look  to  find  the  right  lip  combo  to  apply,  then  take  another  look  at  the  womanâs  face,  brow  slightly  arching.  â  something  is  telling  me  to  apply  a  chocolate-toned  color,  but  you  would  also  look  beautiful  with  the  red  velvet.  with  valentinesâ  day  coming,  I  want  you  to  look  playful  but  sultry.  â  while  you  were  not  a  makeup  expert,  you  sat  in  enough  makeup  chairs  to  learn  and  apply  the  knowledge,  the  excessive  interest  making  you  learn  independently  ( thank  goodness  for  friends  you  could  practice  on!  ).  â  speaking  of,  are  you  going  out  for  valentinesâ  day?  you  should  show  off  all  of  this  beauty,  and  I  am  sure  you  have  lots  of  eligible  suitors!  â
@lifeinrock [viviana] doubled down đĄ â ! âYou have really pretty eyesâ
âMerci, Viv. Like rubies on velvet, non?â

Nothing like an afternoon treat at one of the few cafés in town where he tolerated the pastries. It was just busy enough for healthy patronage without being too disruptive. Most had come with a friend, a spouse, coworkers perhaps; but one woman in particular stood out. She sat alone, the all too familiar waft of cigarette smoke accompanying her.
âReal strong remindâaân olâ viceâŠtempted tâ bum one offa ya, chĂšre.â Remy approached her with his own order, already sitting down across from her before she could object.
âSittinâ by yâself but ya got dat box wrapped up real nice. Lucky devil they is,â he sipped his coffee, âwho it for?â

âYes, yes, I made cookies at midnight, donât question itâ Viviana puts a cookie in his mouth before giving him the plate, âJust enjoy themâ
Viviana was perhaps a nervous baker, or had chosen to take up the activity over sleep. The sweet scent of cookies roused him from his own slumber, prompting him to turn over on the sofa. Rubbing his tired eyes, he had every intention of asking her what she was doing, until she shoved one into his mouth.
Oatmeal? And simple chocolate chip from the plate. Just the right amount of softness and crunch to them.
âSâgood, merci...â Remy finally managed to speak. The hospitality was welcomed, butâŠ
âDidnâ mean ta crash here like dat,â it was unlike him to stay, âI should go Viv...ainât wise fuh me to stick âround.â

The strum of a guitar, a pause, another strum. The sound hadnât developed into a carefully tuned melody until moments later. Perhaps the individual wasnât happy with how they had started off, wanting to improve and refine the riff.
Remy was a fan of music, genres of all sorts in fact. He was just curious enough to find the source, discovering a young woman practicing on her guitar in the otherwise quiet night.
âYou takinâ requests, petite? Wouldnât mind a solo show.â He stuck his hands in his pockets, strolling over to her side with a tilt in his head, as though studying the instrument.
âYou pretty good at dat.â
â you donât have to be good, or useful, for someone to care about you. â from vivi :D
"Is this toward me, or yourself?"
It isn't unkind, her words, but deducing that there very well could be possible irritation, Ashley softens it with a cock of the head, a lopsided smile. The words, when cast in the stranger's favor, makes sense, but when they're Ashley's shadow... a cog doesn't turn. Something freezes, the whole operation at risk. It's - is it wrong to say it's not worth diving into? Useful, that's the word glued to the back of Ashley's mind, you don't have to be useful.
How do you try for anything else? In a position as 'lucky' as hers, she can't stand to ... not. Sure, it cuts down her hours of freedom, she can't remember the last time she sat for an extended period, and she's so, so, so tired all the time, but...
It's a small sacrifice; a raindrop.
"You don't have to be any of those either. Sometimes it's enough just existing. It's not as easy as everyone makes it out to be, but... it's always worth it. So, it's always worth celebrating, too."
@lifeinrock dew stares and stares and stares... "you're quite adorable" and from who knows where, she takes out a lollipop. the advantage of being a witch.
Ivory feels like a deer in headlights, eyes averting the witch's gaze while she shifts her weight.
"Ah... um, m-merci?" Thanks to the illusion giving her a more human appearance, it was obvious to see her face dusted in pink from bashfullness.
Though she declines the treat signaling via holding up an opened hand and a shake of her head, "N-No, thank you, I'm alright." she may be a bit naive and wish to see good intentions from everyone she meets, but even she knew that accepting sweets from a stranger, especially one that makes them appear out of thin air, was a horrible idea.
"I-If I may ask, um...what's your name, Madame?"
