D'ylân was still a child when he showed a love and talent for drawing, a hobby he dropped when he discovered his gift and passion for music.

Many years and a world-threatening adventure later, he found the inspiration to pick up a pencil again.

Out-of-character April's Fools D'ylân, that doesn't really work here because I haven't established him on this account yet.

Basically, the joke is that this is him pretending to be a wronged noble who was shunned by his evil family, and who needs to find the courage through true love's kiss or something to fight for his title and reclaim his position as the rightful heir or something like that.

When, actually, he's a bard, civilian, from loving, supportive, rich parents, who prefers playing in taverns and kinky nightclubs over the wealthy upper-crust lifestyle. And he sucks at wielding weapons other than his fists in a common pub brawl.

The other joke is that I set everything up for one of those pretty sun-lit shots with sunrays and everything that I see a lot and wanted to try, too, but then prioritised the pretty bug instead

Aftermath:

Oh, but the outfit is fine." - Astarion, and you know he's serious when he comes out during the day, fully covered in thick clothes to avoid getting incinerated by the sun just to give his lover a lecture and threat.
