This is completely self indulgent (like everything I do lol) but I have been dying to draw these characters together! Nigel from Charlie Countryman and Cal Roberts from The Path 🥹💛 They would be such a power couple plz!

Cal gets beat up by one of the Meyerist donors and comes home to find his trainee, Nigel, waiting for him. Nigel is not pleased and is ready to POUNCE on anyone who would dare touch his baby 🤬 He’s about to run out the door guns blazing but Cal asks him to stay 😭

I’m not going to lie. Light Dogs are horrible and I’m so glad they’re gone. Purr sucks. She clearly does not give a shit about her customers with the way she talks about them, and her little clique went out of their way to stalk ex members under the pretense of making sure no one steals their designs? Hilarious given that their little group is guilty of it too.

(Lightdogs) I think I had a part to do with how lightdogs ended. Even if not entirely directly. For anons asking still/wondering months later. I don’t frequent drama blogs much anymore.

Tldr: me and my ex where in that group/discord and were not on good terms. That ex had caused a ton of issues for the group and I personally think brought it down. I will not drop names because many people have moved on. Basically from them; they got banned for harassment towards me and another member and then used their irl friends account to get them back. Which invoked the whole voiding thing. I have changed usernames since and moved on personally and don’t really care for the group anymore. I just feel bad about how it all ended. I kinda feel responsible for it all but it’s been some like 3 years now since.

Though I never really caused issues (maybe aside from like two users; valid). I think that was the straw that broke the camels back.

(Lightdogs) Yeah anon, that brought back some memories. Purr's clique still owns most of them, still keeps them hidden/auth only, and still favs every other LD on th that's now under their ownership. Clique so ugly.

(Lightdogs) Maaaaan I miss them. Before everything started to rot I actually enjoyed myself for a while. You even had the opportunity to grind points for new lds. Then that got taken away. Then the mods became sht. Then you couldnt get an ld because people were rabid for them (it was an all time problem). Oh well... time to make my own without any backlash now that they are dead! Not gonna call them lds of course. These were slim dogs anyway.

(lightdogs) I left lightdogs about half or a year before they closed down. Sucesfully sold my lds. I honestly liked the community but people went rabid for the dogs so it was nearly imposibble to get more. I remember a mod being quite rude with me and when I confronted her, other mods clearly sided with her. Other than that I had a fun few months. Later on they removed in group currency so we couldnt grind to get new dogs. Only the owners could draw new dogs so that made things painful.

(Lightdogs) my theory is that they nuked the masterlist account so people couldn't see that almost all of the ld's went to purr's clique. Ld's had the same old problem of zero raffle transparency and clique members always winning, and clique being informed of batch drops ahead of time so they could rush in and claim first. But ofc most if not all of the original ld posts were hidden in order to cover tracks.

Do you mean why it closed after lasting a year at most? lol

I was in it (left a little before they closed due to the people there being absolutely INSANE for the dogs and having to walk on eggshells with most of the people there) and as far as I can tell the two owners, Purrwitch and Wally-z, just didn’t like doing it anymore. Although I wouldn’t be surprised if there was some sort of harassment/trouble in the group, like I said, people went absolutely NUTS over those dogs lol

However if something has happened recently then idk 🤷‍♀️
