Persephone smiled and blushed a little at Hades compliments. The butterflies formed in her stomach as he did. Always craving for acceptance from him and others, receiving praise was one of the biggest ways to warm Persephone’s heart. It had been used against her before, so it wasn’t as easy to do before, but with Hades, he was always the exception. “That’s just because I’m smaller than you, I have a different view.” She teased. She noticed his expression changed at her confession. Concern, sadness but also understanding. There was no judgment on her actions, which she was thankful for. “I know it hurt him. I could see it in his eyes. I hated that, and I hated how I lost control, again.” She said softly, looking down at the confession. The worry wasn’t just hurting Draco, it was also the loss of control. The reminders of her past, what brought her to Hades in the first place. The harm she had done to mortals, all because she lost control. She had no idea what would have happened, in her home, if she lost it again. She didn’t want to think that way, but the thoughts floated. The worry floated. She couldn’t destroy another home. Persephone smiled a little at Hades telling her that Draco had forgiven her. That the gift was proof he had. “I’m glad he forgave me, doesn’t mean I will believe it. Even with this gift. But he has nothing to prove. I simply will live with the guilt. You know me.”
There was a thought in her head as Hades said it would take time for Draco to see her as a mother, and she wondered what her reaction would be if Draco had called her that. “When or If he ever calls me ‘mother’, I hope you are around to see how I react. I’m sure you’ll find a lot of delight in me being.. What do the mortals say? A deer caught in the headlights.” She said with a small laugh, a thought that made her happy though. She was imagining the quiet comedical moment. She was sure Draco would also be a bit of a deer in headlights. At the reminder of her flowers, she hummed, sadness clouding over her for a moment. “I wish it didn’t have to be just a reminder.” She said softly. She wanted to be home, with him and their family. But her mother & Zeus had other plans. She couldn’t even step foot in too early into the entrance way if she wanted to. Hermes couldn’t come and collect her if it wasn’t time. It was unfair. She wanted to be there, more than anything.
“I know he’s angry with them. I have learned that while they may not be able to do so, their family line can. Chaos will always be there, helping turn things when needed.” She hummed. “So again, all I ask is that you watch him when it comes to his unraveling of threads. Let him continue, but if something happens, I need you there to make sure it doesn’t change.” She said, before her eyes closed at his words. She pressed her forehead against his, reaching up once again to do it. “I wish nothing but to stay like this.” She said softly. “Us, in the shop, quiet and unbothered. Or home, cuddled together.” She sighed. “But I’ll take this. For now.” She said. She wanted to kiss him again, wanted to feel all of him around her once again, but she also wanted to keep hearing things, hearing his stories of what is going around him & others at the moment. Wanted to tell him about the shop. She prayed to Nyx, hoping the Fates mother would answer her and just extend the night a little longer for them.
