I'm late, but for the WIP ask game can I hear about Orbital Lock? It's an intriguing title
(wip ask game) Hi! Thank you for asking :} Orbital Lock is my (checks notes) 5.4k omegaverse kadolin fic where they're both Alphas. It's actually set pre-twok proper, where Kaladin's slave caravan went through the Kholin war camps and Zahel bought Kaladin the instant he saw him and gave him to Adolin. It's been a real challenge to write both of their personalities as would be accurate for this time in the books while also keeping in mind their natural chemistry.
Here's one of my favorite parts of it, right before I stalled:
When they hear the horns of the morning signaling that the bridge crews have to get ready for the day, Kaladin gives Adolin a sheepish smile that tells Adolin everything he needs to know. I’m about to get in so much trouble with my father. Oh, well. It’s not going to be the first time. “You want to stay, I’m assuming?” Adolin asks. He is going to bathe all afternoon long. He cannot stand sitting in death, or rot, even while successfully cleaning injuries clean and watching the fog of rotspren disappear. It is satisfying. He does feel foul. “And what about if we get in trouble for managing the injured while not being doctors?” Kaladin’s facial features contort into grim humor. “Oh, Adolin,” he says lightheartedly, but beneath that tone is genuine anger he just barely represses. “You think they check this place for the sick? You may find it distasteful, but they find it disgusting. No one comes.” “What?” Adolin asks. “No one will see, don’t worry. We may just be late for breakfast," Kaladin says as he turns back to his newest patient. Adolin watches him turn but doesn’t move yet. That phrase haunts him. No one comes. Well, he and Kaladin came, didn’t they? That counts, right?

A couple days ago, the Very Tall Husband heard teeny screams from inside the engine of a parked car, and we spent the next hour coaxing out this:
Unfortunately, we're already over our pet limit, but we have a few prospective homes lined up. Meanwhile, we have the satisfaction of knowing that we saved an adorable, incredibly loud life.
