I hate people that say you can't make a living being an actor/actress and tell you not to do it. My mom did that... She asked me randomly what I wanted to do when I grew up and I said , "I want to be an actress," and then she literally laughed and said "no, you need a real job." I was crushed. I had a performance for a show tonight and I know another cast member's grandma and she was like (talking about her grandson) "I know he loves this, but I just don't know if he can make a living being an actor." Honestly.... Like, I understand that it's not the easiest or best career choice as far as availability or income, but don't you dare crush my dream just because you think I can't survive. Do you honestly think I would going into this field knowing full-well about it's difficulty and not have a backup plan? Like... Excuse you, I'm not a fucking idiot so please back the fuck up and leave me alone. Let me run for my dream.
