Lilith felt like she couldn’t breath, couldn’t think nor walk “H-help me…” she mumbled leaning against the wall trying her best to push away the effects.

There wasn’t much one could do at this moment other than wait for the effects of the drug to pass and to make sure that she was safe, until she felt like herself again. Hannibal approached her, one hand on her shoulder to steady the woman, carefully leading her across the room so she could sit.

“Please do not panic.” Surely easier said than done; however, blind fear would only cause the situation to be worse. “I need you to take deep, calm breaths.”

They were given a cabin, private enough to be secluded but still within humanity’s wall to ensure safety. Briar wiped his hands on his pants and looked at his reflection in the cabin’s windows and tried to straighten his hair. He was going to be living with his breeding partner for the foreseeable future; until he got her pregnant and maybe a few days more. So he wanted to make a good first impression. Not like it would matter in a month. After that, he would be shuffled to the next partner. Humanity needed babies if they were going to comeback from near extinction.

Mustering up his nerve; Briar knocked on the door and put on his best smile. She was already there, the overseer had told him as much. Already he was going back through his lessons, trying to remember everything he had been taught the last few months after he had been selected for the breeding program. As nervous as he was, he hoped he could get it up; he didn’t want to fail and go back to working the fields with the laboring caste. The door opened.

“Hi, I’m Briar. You’re partner,” he said with a smile and offered a hand in greeting. He hoped his hand wasn’t sweaty from nerves. “It’s nice to meet you, may I come in?”

Lilith looked around the event she and Theseus had been tasked to go to in order to track and arrest a criminal among even more. She gave a sigh taking a sip of her drink as she laid low looking for the auror (hope this isn't bad)

Theseus scanned the crowds from his place at the bar, just watching as people passed him by. The Alpha was tall enough to look over most people, if not all and he easily spotted Lilith some way down. He made his way over, scotch in hand, he tapped her on the shoulder. “Spotted anyone?”

It was a silly little habit. At least, that’s what he told himself before kneeling to pray. But No-Maj’s and wizard’s alike tried it and with nothing left to lose, he figured he may as well try. 

He wasn’t sure what to say. Wasn’t sure how to ask for what he wanted. Wasn’t sure if he completely believed in what he was doing. It had been so long since he last prayed after all. 

But he made the sign of the cross, closing his eyes as he silently started to pray the Our Father in an effort, unaware that he was no longer alone in the church as the other entered behind him.
