3. how do you get yourself out of a writing funk?

honestly this is such a broad question but in the context of rp, it happens to me a lot surprisingly. though my muse is high most of the time, i sometimes try to work on my threads or write some drabbles/self paras/headcanons and just... can’t. (that’d explain why i still have FIVE drabble prompts in my askbox that still need to be answered from the meme that I made! god im a mess) but yeah when this happens but i still wanna be posting on the dash, i honestly just make some aesthetics/work on carthaytasks/make something visual to give my brain a change from all the writing. then my funk seems to go away!

4. do you have any advice for other writers?

i honestly don’t see myself as good enough of a writer to really give advice... tbh you’re all amazing writers already and I should be taking advice from you all, not the other way around! but! for the sake of the ‘interview’, honestly just. don’t overthink things. it takes me a lot longer to write replies than it should because i spend so much time being extremely picky about how to word things, googling trying to find a word that i’ve forgot for something i’m trying to convey rather than just using different wording, or rambling. it’s something i’m trying to work on because i was starting to worry that it would eventually make doing my replies feel like a chore, which should never be a thing with rping. also, don’t feel the need to write like everyone else!!

8. do you follow canon or dump it in the trash?

i mean i do try to make tramp (and jack, now that i have him too, although i’m just getting started with him really) influenced by his canon character as much as possible. i’ve rewatched lady & the tramp so many times since joining the rp because every time i watch it i find new little things that i can reimagine into traits, back story and/or plot points for him. so yeah i definitely try to follow it somewhat in terms of what the character is like as well as his relationship with lady, but i think this rp allows for bringing a lot of your own twists on the character which i love also! this will also be the way that jack is played out, i think.
