So! I have a whole theory (yes, again, I know... >.>) and I wonder if I'm close to it or not? (but you don't have to tell if I'm right if it's too spoilery :)).
Sssooooo! I bet Viren had a dark plan to get rid of Runaan, or at least to make him unable to play for Harrow to win his last competition. But Viren didn't count Ethari in it.
I think the 1st step was to leak the location of Runaan's hotel to the press to disturb him, because he knew Runaan would be higly stressed and would then end angry and so drag everyone away to train alone in a dangerous way. Hence why Viren went to Runaan's tent, which was supposed to be empty. But Ethari was there. (did he planned to talk to Runaan through the device Ethari was using or messing with anything for Runaan to have an accident? Anything like that? I wonder...)
Petty Viren then tried to do something anyway to anger Runaan by messing with the tools since Ethari was in the way. But Sam was keeping an eye on him 'cause it's Viren and he's always up to something. And since Sam is a good pal he's protecting Runaan.
But now... (and if I'm at least a little right) I wonder if he's planning something else and what will happen to Ethari...
And so, all of this to lead to my question who has slightly nothing to do with all of this above because it's very likely you won't tell me because it's too spoilery: why is it so important for Viren to make Harrow win?
