The most annoyingly realistic part of Star Trek: First Contact is Lily. Here is a woman who has contributed immensely to the creation of the Phoenix. She states that she collected metal for months to build the ship which changed the world and she was the original co-pilot. And yet no one from the 24rd century as heard of her! She is just another woman whose enormous contributions to history have been forgotten.
Is this a sign that things never really change for women?
