limited connection
Most people require a connection. Most people have the need, inside of them, to feel something that could only be provided by and through someone else.
I enjoy connections. I don’t chase them or yearn for them the way most people do. I’m ok with out them. I’ve always been ok without them.
I can’t remember a time when I sat in a movie theater and thought how happy I was to have whomever was there, with me. If I’m in a movie theater in the first place, it’s going to be to watch whatever movie was picked that evening.
I don’t remember a moment where I couldn’t see myself at a restaurant, eating at the bar alone, and think: “loneliness.” I like eating at the bars of restaurants and chatting up new people. Their stories are more interesting to me than the negative gossip some of the few connections I do keep, will tell.
It’s a shame, isn’t it? How the only thing nearly everyone else has to talk about are negative gossips about others from their lives, who we barely know anyway. I wonder why people do that. Why it is that when most people meet new people, the first thing they do is look for all the imperfections?
The imperfections are obvious, so I ignore them and look for the perfections in people. I’d rather stare at someone’s beautiful eyes as they talk to me and I listen to their stories, than focus on someone’s obvious imperfections. How can you hear what anyone else is saying if the entire time you are judging things, in your mind?
I think that as time moves on, we tend to find our counterparts. I think that similar energies gravitate towards each other like magnets. I even think that this sort of attraction is stronger than gravity. Technically, thoughts have no commitment to the laws of physics, and no commitment to the principle of gravity. A thought cannot be pulled by gravity.
Maybe I’m saying too much. Maybe I just haven’t said enough.
I’m ok without connections. I don’t feel that I don’t need them, but I’m fine with the sporadic ones that truly just occur by chance. If those stop happening, I’m even ok with that.
At the end of the day, we live the lives we live with our thoughts, anyway.
None of that made any sense to you, did it?
That’s fine. Turn off that Drake tune, and listen to some new music that you’ve never heard.
