Come home tonight and

Let me snuggle up with you

Play with my hair please.

5am cigarettes

At 5 am it is so beautiful to be alive because it feels like the whole world is asleep. Even the sun hasn't woken up for work today. As I sit outside sucking the life out of my cancerous habit and think: "It's going to be me one day, The roles will be reversed and I'm going to have the life sucked out of me Because of this cigarette And I'm doing it to myself. I should probably quit. Maybe tomorrow." I think of my family at home, My siblings are getting out of bed to play in the sunshine and Maybe my mother is lying in for once On the other side of the planet.

Weather Warnings

You only kiss me like that when you want the moon and the stars

But this time you only wanted to wrap me up in the covers and play with my hair in the dark.

If I could burrow myself under your skin and live inside your bones forever I would.

I want to know what runs through your mind right before you fall asleep

Or if you're even thinking at all.

My mind runs marathons in bed before tiring itself out and letting me rest

And I wonder how it is that you can sleep so fast and sound in bed next to me

When all I can think about is wrapping myself around you.

There are weather warnings for tonight but I won't hear the thunder clapping outside over how loud my heart beats when you're near me.

Don't tell me you'll miss

Seeing me every day and

Not bother calling.

Lost and Found

I was told before that I wouldn't know what I wanted until I found it.

The funny thing about that is you found me.

I'll never be able to thank the universe enough for bringing you to me

But I'll never stop trying.

When I wake up to you kissing me before you leave for work,

I remember that this isn't a dream and I am so happy

To be in your bed again.

I'm home.
