Tried switching to Gnome desktop on Linux Mint. It didn't work out, so I'm back to xfce, this time with a modified—and more conventional—configuration:

I actually have close buttons on the windows now. I'm going to try it this way for a little while. Keeping the Ubuntu-style panel on the left.

Finally reading the 36 Lessons of Vivec. Only gotten through the first three, but so far I am unimpressed. I have heard of them for so long that I had high expectations. I also knew that they were written by Michael Kirkbride and I have a high regard for his input on Morrowind. They are, so far, failing to meet those expectations. I was hoping to be captivated and I'm just not.

I will likely read a few more sermons before deciding whether to give up.
