Hybrids were in power where Briar was living. The hybrids protect her and certain people that didn't hurt hybrids. In fact, a few hybrids knew her personally because she helped them escape or at least get to the shelter her best friend owned that had very tight security to protect the hybrids that lived there.
She was actually the only one on the Gold list which the hybrids made for those few trustworthy humans who are to protected at all times especially since some of the more cruel humans are still loose and they may harm the protected humans as they think they are traitors to their fellow humans.
Briar was actually friends with the hybrid mafia that ruled her city, Neo Culture better known as NCT. She helped their leader, Taeyong, a rare breed since he was a dragon hybrid. She found him beaten near her house and even though he was growling at her and being aggressive she took him to her house and nurses him back to health. A few days later a lion hybrid, wolf hybrid, and leopard hybrid were trying to break into her house. She just watched them struggle for a moment before approaching them and unlocking the door. They started at her in disbelief as she gestures for them to go in when they finally enter her home she shut the door.
"You're not hurt?" The wolf asked confused.
"Nope. My growling didn't even stop Briar." Taeyong said in amusement.
"I will say it again Taeyong nothing short of death would have kept me from bringing you here and helping you! Even if you set my clothes on fire!" They heard her yelling from upstairs. The dragon just chuckled. She walked down with her hair up, skinny jeans, and a Hybrids Rule! shirt with a picture of a snake, tiger, panther, bunny, and squirrel hybrid on it.
"What do you want to eat, Tae? And ask your friends if they're staying!" She shouted from the kitchen.
That's how she met Taeyong, dragon hybrid, Mark, lion hybrid. Jaemin, leopard hybrid. And Renjun, the wolf hybrid. Taeyong adopted her as his little sister so she was at NCT's home a lot. She even had her own room there! Taeyong was making her move into the NCT mansion today after a lot of arguing she finally agreed because she loved Taeyong like a brother.
Plus he and the boys were already a mafia when she met them. Though they basically lived with her a month for Taeyong to completely heal and to patch up whichever other NCT member showed up injured. That's how she met the rest of NCT. Since hearing about her they started going to her for help. She knew whenever a hurt hybrid showed up at her door it was one of Taeyong's members so she would always usher them inside to take care of whatever injury they had.
They always reported to Taeyong and since a few of the members got hurt for something stupid and it could have been avoided she would smack them in the back of the head. "Don't be so stupid next time!" They'd always look ashamed while Taeyong would just watch with an amused smirk.
She isn't very shy around NCT and the hybrids she helped before they took power from the humans. She actually watched as some of the hybrids treated their "owners" how they were treated. She actually laughed as she saw this. "Serves you right. If you can't treat a hybrid right you can't treat a human right either. This is long overdue!"
She even helped them take over. As she was on her way to the NCT mansion she was cut off by someone she hoped to never see again.
"Mr.Carls." She whispered the nearby hybrids noticing her scent reeked of fear. Luckily, Mark and Lucas were nearby.
"Well if it isn't the hybrids' little slut. What was my cock not good enough anymore?" He sneered as she backed away making his way towards her.
"That never should have happened. I am not a toy! They had no right to sell me to you like I'm some prostitute!" She said shakily. He was the previous leader the person Taeyong took his position from. He had her cornered.
"Don't act like you didn't like the way I fucked you." His hand reached up to touch her but he was quickly pulled away by a very pissed off lion. The coyote hybrid grabbed Briar and got her away from there.
"Who are you? One of the hybrids that fuck the little slut?" Carls demanded. With the other two Lucas was holding Briar as she sobbed and trembled violently. Mark knocked him out.
"Come on, Lucas. We're taking her home. He's going to the "Play" Room. Me and Taeyong have unfinished business with this trash." He said as he gave the man to Lucas and picked Briar up. She snuggled into him her sobs and trembling calming down as he pulled her to his chest. He rumbled soothingly scenting her and lulling her to sleep.

"He said what?" Taeyong asked scarily calm. Mark had layed Briar in his bed and had Ten and Jeno cuddling her. They were close friends of hers. She did seem to get pretty shy around Mark. He's liked her since they met. He hasn't made a move cause she has been bothered by other hybrids and anything intimate at least romantically scares her. She doesn't mind cuddling with the guys but that's about it. Except for Taeyong and his mates since she sees all of them as her big brothers. They love her as if she has always been with them as if she really was their baby sister.
"We're going to get them, Taeyong. Nobody messes with my mate." Mark growled.
"Do you plan on making her your mate soon?"
"As soon her parents and that asshole are dead. Do you think she'd want to see what happens to her parents?"
"With her you can never tell. I say we go ask if she wants to see what we do to those who hurt our own."

"You plan on finding my parents and show them and Mr.Carls what happens with they mess with the NCT pack?" Briar looked shocked.
"Exactly." Taeyong said.
"We wanted to know if you wanted to help or just watch." Mark replied.
"Watch them get tortured? Definitely." She had a dark glint in her eyes telling them she will probably help fuck them up.
"Well why not start with Carls right now?" Taeyong smirked. Mark and Briar looked at Taeyong.
"Sounds like fun." Briar replied.
They walked down to the "Play" Room.
"Well if it isn't the hybrids' slut again. Come to your senses and want me to fuck you again?" He snickers.
She went up to him and stabbed him with a screwdriver making him let out a blood curdling scream.
The guys looked over towards the play table where the "toys" were. They didn't even see her grab the screwdriver which impressed them.
"It's nice having Taeyong as the mayor. Cause he's fair. He actually punishes people like you. Don't you find it funny? You try to paint the hybrids as monsters when humans are the real monsters." She says before walking away. "I've always wanted to see how NCT tortures filth like him. What's the first thing you guys do?"
