I have such a softspot for Jaylion or JayLionHolly,,, like the scenes where Holly and Lion took the time to describe what things looked like to their brother? ? it's so pure,,

Last anon gave me an idea...

Breezepelt has been seeing both Lionblaze and Jayfeather off-and-on. It's complicated, because he didn't get along with either of them as apprentices, but trouble at home and seeing them frequently along the border and at Gatherings, stuff just sort of happened. They're both cats he can be himself around.

Lionblaze and Jayfeather eventually figure out that they've been sneaking out to meet the same cat when Lionblaze tries to "surprise" him during a time he was already with Jayfeather. It's very awkward and both relationships get rocky. Someone (maybe a fourth cat... Heathertail?) floats the idea that they could all just date at once? Like why try to manage these two relationships when you could just be a big throuple.

"That won't work, we're brothers," Lion and/or Jay insists.

So things are rocky for a while but persist in some form. Then, the big reveal happens and stuff gets wild.

A bit thereafter, Breezepelt and Jayfeather were going to meet up for the first time in a while. Lionblaze tags along.

"I thought you said we couldn't do the throuple thing?"

"Well, I guess we're all brothers now, so... fuck it."

Hello!! Can I have some LionJay headcannons? More, MORE SPICY!!! ✧(｡•̀ᴗ-)✧

I think Lionblaze and Jayfeather are two of the cutest siblings in the series. There's a scene in Bramblestar's Storm where they do some playfighting and it's adorable. I tend not to think of them as much in a ship-y way because their existing sibling bond is so cute. But obviously you can add some more ~intimacy~ to anything like that if you want.

Trying to think of how you get LionJay to happen outside of a generic WC smut setup (they were warrior apprentices together, and surely the apprentices' den is often full of "exploration" if you want to take that angle). Outside of The Silly it seems like an unhappy situation brings it about every time. Either brought together by grief after Hollyleaf "dies" or because they both feel like outcasts due to their big destinies and feel like they can't connect with other cats. Neither tom is especially good at managing his own emotions, so they fall back on a physical relationship that lets them not think about it. Imo something like that is usually best as a bridge to actual character development, though.

I will say there's something very cute about the idea of Jayfeather being all grumpy, Lionblaze just sort of coming by the medicine den, picking him up by the scruff, and walking off with a hissing bundle of brother, then bringing back a much calmer Jayfeather like half an hour later. Alderheart is constantly trying to figure out what Lionblaze's trick is.

(Aside: I get a lot of asks asking for "Spicy." I assume this means explicit smut, which I'm not comfortable posting on tumblr.)
