He sparred no expense for her: a large bouquet of roses were bequeathed in a range of color: red, white pink and yellow. All varying in a language known to flowers. Devotion. Affection. Longing. Love. All the things he wanted to say and more, but couldn't. So with charm, he knelt on his knees and unleashed a smile that was soft despite the tease in his lips. "Happy Valentine's day, princess." He said. "You deserve far more than roses, but I cannot exactly hand you the stars themselves."
A proud lion. One of bold stature and true grace as he glided through the room was a big smile on his face and twinkle in his eyes. The bouquet in hand was clearly noticeable, and that alone was enough to make Lucy’s cheek blossom in red. It was clear to see whom they were for as he approached her on his knees before her being. Lucy sat at the bar of the guild, just enjoying the company of others before he came to shine before her. Body turned, sitting with legs crossed and flushed features as flowers were presented. There were stares and little “awe’s” softly expressed around them. With words so smooth, it was hard for Lucy to keep a rational mind. She, thought never admitting it, was a hopeless romantic herself – and being praised in bold ways did sweep her off her feet. Yet, she knew of his background, but she knew of their own connection and how much it meant to him. At least, she hoped it meant something to him. A little part of her was doubtful, but she chose to ignore it, given the day.
Lucy’s smile was small and genuine. It was nice to be appreciated, especially by your spirits. Loke always went out of his way to show her his own appreciation, in many ways then platonic. She wasn’t ready to cross that line with him – or maybe ever considering the odds stacking against them. It was no wonder he went through girls so easily and frequently. Yet, it was bittersweet to be flaunted with gifts, and it showed in her smile after it crossed her mind.
“Ah, Loke —“
Legs uncrossed, standing in front of him as she took the flowers from his grip and into her gentle arms, not wanting to smash them. Eyes admired the colorful variety, a soft gaze as she did so, using her other hand to stroke the petals in awe. It wasn’t the first time she was given such a beautiful array of flowers from an attractive man. There had been suitors in her past that went out of their way to dazzle her interests, and she gave no attention to them — not like this moment. It made her beam a little, and unknowingly flustered as others eyes were pressed on her next move — as well as a mighty lions’.
She took her hand to cup his chin, bending down to do so, as lips gave his forehead a long lasting kiss. Her lips were gentle and seemed to give a good impression on him, little bits of pink from her lips lingered on top his forehead.
“ Thank you, Loke. You’re sweet for being my mighty lion.”
