Max Factor: Celebrates 100 years in Beauty

This year Max factor is celebrating its 100th anniversary in business, and while it's often easy to forget how long certain companies have been around for, (especially with modern campaigns`) the last century has seen the Max Factor brand come a long way, from making cosmetics available to main stream public rather than just Hollywood stars to introducing every day essentials such as mascara and concealer to the market.   

The man behind the brand was beauty pioneer Max Factor, an artist who worked on films to create iconic looks for stars such as Marlene Dietrich, Lucille Ball and Marilyn Monroe. Factor is also believed to be the first man to coin the terms "Lip Gloss" (originally called lip pomade) and perhaps most famously, "Make-up".
