the thing that interests me the most about coltland AU is that there is a decent chance grace would, in fact, agree to go on the mission in it.

cause, look, we all know his "somebody to be brave for" turned out to be rocky and it was very beautiful and i wouldn't change canon for a second but this opens up a path of wondering. cause yeah, he doesn't want to die. thats very understandeble and i will kill anyone who calls it selfish and cowardly with hammers. but his characterisation shows that he will make that choice if pressed not with hypotetical "something % of all people will die" but with a very real "rocky will probably almost definitely die" and if we change that for "your twin brother will probably almost definitely die" that gives him a real possibility and real responsibility.

and even though the book doesn't give us exact time in which he made the decision, i imagine he realised that he could go back and forth with himself for a while and he doesn't have time for that, so the moment he felt himself teetering to one answer he took it and locked it down as final to himself, not allowing himself to doubt anymore. and this seems like a very plausible situation to spring up during the talk with stratt in the au.

realistically he'd probably still say no but this opens up a chance that I'd really like to explore

I'm rewarching some scenes from tobot and it never fails to amuse me how much semolimo don't give a fuck about seciety norms and/or morals at large. I'm no great expert but I'm pretty sure South Korea has a whole Thing about respecting adults and especially parents. in the meantime semo casually elbows Limo in the kidney - with his left hand, mind you - and only gets an "alright i deserved that" lmao i just know these two will only follow a rule if they personally like it

i rlly like limoxzero and i kinda toy around with variations on tritan trio poly but other than that not really

i think the most outrageous one is tritan trio x limo, but that one exists just for shits and giggles and only makes sense in context of an au i never detailed beyond "they somehow end up together way earlier than in canon and also doun is dead"

i also wandered into z/semo/limo/zero and variations thereupon in my thoughts a few times but i never could think up anything coherent about them so theres that

Semo is absolutely Daddy's good boi, there is not a dominating bone in his body when he's with Limo. He may be a little whiny sometimes if he feels especially comfortable/sure of himself that day (which is very rare, because abandonment issues), but he'd never seriously demand something from his dad. Bro is downright worshipful at times

They're both very clingy, which results in them being joined at the hip. Zero's maintenance? Semo is sitting closeby and observing. It's a miracle Limo was able to keep Z a secret at all. School day? You bet Semo's rich but slightly creepy dad is either wandering close by or has already hacked into the class' camera feed. Maybe both. Investors meeting? Director Kwon is sitting there with a child on his lap and no one says anything because this man's one invention is worth more than their whole net. Also the child just bent a stapler with one hand so they're a little scared of them both.

This is somewhat shown/implied in canon (particularly in the movie) so i just wanna point it out. Limo's behavior didn't change that much - he's mostly only Like That when he's next to Semo or someone he knows Semo cares about.

Director Kwon is almost always late in the mornings, because he and Semo sleep in the same bed and Semo grabs at Limo with his prosthetic every time he tries to leave the bed early. They don't get up until it's time for Semo to get up for school, which starts a few hours later.

Their morning walks (they are canon right? i didn't just make that up?) include stopping multiple times to kiss somewhere in a dark alley

thinking about spinning project lim-0 into an all-character redesign au, maybe tweak some canon details too. as i said before, i live for giving characters more physical traumas in addition to mental ones and then overcomplicate their designs to accommodate those. it's my holy mission

been thinking about how exactly project Lim-0 would impact Limo. it's a given that he'll still be angry and bitter, maybe even more so with the whole unwilling resurrection just to live in a world decoid of anyone he's loved, but there is no way he can ignore the implications of Zero having such advanced mind that it can coexist with his own for six years, right? from what i remember of flashbacks i get the impression that he was the tech guy while Doun was the one working with the mindcores. obv they both could do both, as was established later, but i think at the start they were much more unbalanced with their skills and cancelled each other out on that. that brings me to my point: i don't think Limo quite realised the extent to which tobots are sentient. and for og!Limo it had taken all 6 years and the second time saving him to figure that out. Lim-0 though? much easier to figure out. is he gonna shut all the mental doors and become even more deranged, realising that saving him was not a glitch in programming but a willful choice? is he gonna try and shut down his natural empathy, trying so hard not to notice the fact that Zero's mind is the same as the mind of a child? when he adopts semo, is he gonna drive himself mad trying to ignore all the ways in which they're similar?
