say what you will about klaus mikaelson, like yeah, he’s a bad guy and has done terrible things to caroline (less so) and her friends, but of all the men she has been with, he was the only one to truly respect her and consider her his equal the entire time he’s known her, whereas everyone else (and yes, that includes stefan in s1) belittled her, disrespected her, treated her like a dumb lil bitchy blonde and nothing else and i can bring receipts.
