an illustration i've made for litjoy crate edition of "the stolen heir" by holly black 🦊
The Elriels are crying about Litjoy Crate removing a slide from one of their latest posts.
Had to use Pixnoy to see what the fuss is all about. (I refuse to make a instagram account lol).
A Elriel slide was removed, though LitJoy Crate never specified why. Elriel's are claiming on reddit that it was because of harassment from Eluciens/Gwynriels.
I've no idea if there was harassment; I can't see more than a few comments on pixnoy. If there was, shame on those who took part.
What I do know is that Elriel is not an official couple, so it made zero sense to have it along side all the other official/confirmed couples. It did seem like they were playing favorites.
Made more sense to remove that slide. IF Elriel becomes official then putting it back up or just redoing the post would make sense.
Until then, book-based companies really ought to just stick to what is actually canon.
Edit: They also removed the Feylin slide too. That also makes sense, considering they're not a canon couple. Also, calling fans of that ship "toxic" is extremely immature and not something a professional company ought to be doing.
I can finally share the interior illustrations I did last year for Litjoy's Annotated Special Edition Box Set of Leigh Bardugo's Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom!
Inej versus Dunyasha on the silo highwire in Crooked Kingdom, and Nina on Jurda Parem in Six of Crows
“She supposed that she should be terrified. Glancing down, she saw the Shadowhunters staring up at her, their mouths open. The whole room was filled with blinding light, light that poured from her. She had become Ithuriel. The divine fire of angels was blazing through her, scorching her bones, searing her eyes. But she felt only a steely calm.”
Finally, the last tip-in illustration I did for LitJoy Crate 's edition of The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare ✨ This is is also my favourite artwork!
