wary disposition offers a forced smile fraught with pre established suspicion at the proposition.. although he was curious, and there was always reason to find excitement in the other’s schemes, he recognized there lingered a potential risk that accompanied it. he knew senku well enough by now to understand his motto might as well be ‘all things come with a price’... a price defined, oftentimes, by grueling labor.
craning his neck to acknowledge his friend, he tucked his hands into wide sleeves and tilted his head in a way that mocked ignorance.

eyes previously feigning a friendly display narrowed into something more mischievous.. as ambivalent as he was, he could never find it in him to outright decline the scientist’s offer. not to mention, there were frequently special circumstances that he knew the other trusted with gen specifically.. the more, morally ambiguous tasks. ones that would prevent those who still cradled their integrity with no intention of letting go from doing just that. the mentalist, unlike many of the others, wasn’t nearly as hesitant to stain his conscience with what often had to be done.
