Ruby didn’t know why she was still awake, she just couldn’t sleep, so instead she’d laid there, just listening to the sounds of her sleeping team in hopes that it would lull her into at least a dreamless sleep. That’s when she’d first noticed it though. It was soft at first, quiet whimpering that went unnoticed by her teammates, Blake and Yang still sleeping soundly. But then the thrashing started and she couldn’t just lay there and pretend like she didn’t hear it anymore.
Quietly, the leader got up and slid down off of her bed, sitting down next to Weiss in the next moment before just watching. She was more than a little surprised when the heiress shot up, holding her hand in a death grip. Gently, she squeezed the pale hand in her own, giving a small smile before moving closer and pressing her lips against the girl’s forehead. “Shh, it’s alright, Weiss I’m not going anywhere.” It took her a moment, but when she saw the haunted look on the heiress’s face Ruby finally decided to pull her partner against her, wrapping her in a tight embrace as she mumbled against the top of her head. “Is everything alright, Weiss? You have a nightmare again?”
These things, these dreams where happening more than normal. Truly they made her feel weak. Weaker than she probably already was. As her forehead was kissed, she nuzzeled her face close, focusing on the Ruby, only her. And the fact she smelled like roses. She snuggled close, nodding. "Y-Yeah I did, just... It was different, The team started dying, killed off one by one. I couldnt do anything. There was this faceless thing!" She whispered yelled. "singing that song you sing to me sometimes. It was scary.."
littlereddolt: “Weiss, it's 4 in the morning, is everything ok?”
She pushed her face into the neck of her Leader. "i-I dont get like this alot." She whispered, not wanting to wake up anyone. "I-I was young, between the ages of 6 to 11. The white fang and my father, everything just happening at once."He body shook. "I-Im not perfect, Im just a let down with a princess complex, arent I?"

The feline had been relaxing in the bath, purring at the warmth emanating from the water. Something had disturbed her though. She opened her eyes and sat up as she saw Ruby climbing into the tub with her. She smiled at her. "Decided to join?" She asked.

Yang scratched the back of her neck, looking chastised. “Aw, c’mon Rubes, you know I can take way more than this! It’s nothing! Plus, he was asking for it.” Even as she spoke, she didn’t sound nearly as confident as usual. Ruby hadn’t ever really gotten this mad at her before because of her brawling.
Still, she couldn’t really blame her, she did look like shit. Ripped clothes, a busted lip, two black eyes that she had to squint out of, more than a few bumps and scratches. It was nothing life-threatening, but she was definitely in pain, her aura depleted from the actual fight itself. It left little to actually heal, which meant natural healing would be the way she’d have to go, at least until her body replenished itself.
”.. Ruby, don’t be like that. Please? I’m really okay!”
