Here I am!! (How does one even start such a request when you already know I'm going to send it? :v) So here's the prompt: either Midoriya or Todoroki screaming to the other "I hate you!" (you choose who says that) because they're stressed out for something and they're having a little argument... even if they really didn't mean it, it was the anger talking
My poor poor heart, you guys will kill me with these prompts! Thank you for the request, hehe I hope it’s to your satisfaction ^-^
He doesn’t know how things gotthis bad, why they even stopped being good to begin with. One moment they wereokay, they were happy, and then the next… they just weren’t. Izuku wonders ifhe did something wrong, if he said something that he shouldn’t have or if hecrossed a line that he didn’t even know was there to begin with. He wants toknow why Shouto has stopped holding him, why he stopped kissing him, why hestopped even looking at him at all.
He just doesn’t understand. Whyis it that when before Shouto would crash into his arms at the end of the dayand refuse to leave his room even when the curfew rolled closer and closer, nowhe couldn’t even be in his proximity without going somewhere he wasn’t? Whatdid he possibly do to make Shouto run the other way whenever he saw him walkin? Why was it that as soon as the bell announced their lunch break, Izukuhardly had time to get up from his seat before Shouto was already walking outthe door?
There was no explanation, no discerniblereason for this drastic change in behaviour, and whenever he tried to getanswers Shouto would just avoid him. Izuku can’t take it, this silent treatmentthat he has no idea why he even deserves it. And even if he doesn’t like toforce Shouto into a corner, knowing very well how much of that he’s endured allof his life, Izuku needs to know why. He can’t bear this dull ache inside hischest and not even knowing the reason why he’s making him hurt this much.
He grabs Shouto’s wrist before hecan even turn on his heels, too fast for him to react, and too strong for himto pull away. Izuku doesn’t want to restrain him but he can’t bear not knowingwhat’s going on, why Shouto doesn’t want to be anywhere near him anymore. So,he holds him in place, and he asks, demands an answer. Shouto avoids his gaze, can’t meet his eyes even as Izuku holds his face between his hands and forceshim to look at him. He is gnawing on the inside of his cheek biting back wordsthat Izuku desperately needs to know and he can’t understand why, and he’sovertaken by a surge of fury that consumes him in a matter of seconds.
The words just spill out of hismouth, unfiltered, untrue, but loud and clear and he regrets them as soon asthey sound in his own ears. “I hate you for making me feel this way!”
Izuku feels ice crawling up hisarm, a shiver run down his spine and bile rise up in his throat. Shouto’s eyeslook wide and hurt, glistening with the threat of tears and Izuku’s grip on himslackens. He slips from his hands, looking like he’s choking on a breath herefuses to take and he leaves, without a word, with hardly any sounds but forhis footfalls echoing loudly through the hallway, bolting past the elevatorsand taking the stairs up to the dorms.
Left alone, standing there andstirring in his own shame, Izuku feels sick with himself. He stares afterShouto, the look of pure sorrow twisting his features burned into the back ofIzuku’s eyelids as he closes them, tears slipping past and rolling fat and warmdown his cheeks. He crumbles to his knees, gripping his chest in a desperateattempt to stop his heart from shattering into a million different pieces, notknowing if he’ll be able to stitch them back together if he lets it break. Hestill doesn’t have a clue why Shouto has been avoiding him, still doesn’t understandwhat he had done to deserve it. But in his desperate search for an answer, hemanaged to give Shouto an actual reason to hate him the way he now thinks Izukudoes.
