Rich People Moider, my favorite thriller to read.
Mystery/Thriller Monday
Whoa.
Yep, that word totally need it’s own line because, whoa, this book is intense.
It’s about Kate English, who seems to have it all, that is, until her mother, Lily is found dead. She calls on her old best friend Blaire in her grief, and Blaire comes. And, of course, decides to investigate into Lily’s death herself, because not everything seems right to Blaire.
It just kept me guessing and kept me up at night, and was just so so very intense. Like a good Rizzoli and Isles novel from Tess Gerritsen.

Review: A true beach read in that it was smutty, full of twists and glamorous descriptions of the lives of rich people. It was also a beach read in the sense that I would have been fine leaving it behind or throwing it out after reading it. The strong opening chapter made me trust Parrish for far too long even as the plot collapsed into a tension-less pile of cliches, from which it never emerged. The twists were predictable from a mile away and any fun I was having was spoiled by the sheer obviousness of the second half of the book.
Today she felt especially comforted by the books that climbed the walls. They were a reminder that any knowledge she desired was hers for the asking.
