Performance Space’s LIVE DREAMS is a platform for artists to share works-in-progress and ideas in development in a dynamic and responsive environment. LIVE DREAMS takes place both in-theatre at Carriageworks and digitally via our live streaming channel, Live On The Line. This platform offers us an exciting glimpse into current developments in experimental art, creating a crucible for experimentation and conversation.
I am really excited to present my new work-in-development Shivah as part of LIVE DREAMS: THRESHOLD (curated by Victoria Spence and presented by @performancespace and @carriageworks) on June 11. Tickets are available now for only $20, and you can attend in person at Carriageworks or watch the live stream. Each LIVE DREAMS event will be available On Demand until 11:59pm Sunday 19 June.
“Shivah explores the intersections between mental health, intergenerational trauma, spirituality, and mourning through reflections on the artist’s family history.”

EVERYBODY DIES, BUT NOT EVERYBODY LIVES- Prince Ea
I thing this video is absoluty right. Few people know the reason for what he/she is living, they really pursue his/her dream. We don’t have to be afraid of live, of fall, of change. If we do not, what are we really doing?
Prince talked of every person have a gift (life) and we decide of what to do with it. He invites to each one to follow our dreams, for do what we really want in our lives, no matter what people thing, don’t listening all that people don’t believe in us. Keeping our believes our wishes for doing it.
He said a phrase that I like:”uni means one, verse meaning song, you have a part to play in this song”. We need to have the courage to achieve our dreams, to contribuited in the world, for leave part of us when we leave.
We shouldn’t be afraid to try. That is the essence of living.
You know what I like in a dream? Is it that I can be what I want
“NEVER LET YOUR DREAMS DIE”
"Never let your dreams dying because of emotions"Life is so unpredictable and we all have many of dreams twinkling in our eyes.. They gain sparkle whenever we feel we can achieve...But! Suddenly something strange happens and all the hopes going to die, everything seems dark..In this darkest zone of life, thousands of dreams die every minute and a very few, very few dreams survived and be achieved..The reason of their survival isn't that they are easy going and have all the paths to be achieve..But the actual thing is your attitude, "Whenever you look on possibilities, than every way is yours, and if you are letting your dreams die, there's no way"Sometimes, people excuses, I can't achieve this AIM/DREAM because I don't have money, I don't have fame. I don't have anything...Forget about!! You're alive, you breathe thats enough! You have to CONSTRUCT your path,. the way you want to see that! You're not pity unless or until you accept it so,.Don't ever blame anything for your failure.. Thats you Only you are the reason,..Here it is something:"Asman tak janey waly, Zameen ki gehraioyn ko nahin dekha kerty""Hurdles" Are just to polish yourself, Success isn't a sweet dish its full of courage that needs to stand firm against the situation..You always have to fight for your "DREAMS" against "SITUATION" Its now your decision to whom you should hold.. Situation is just for a month, or a year but DREAM is life..There are four thing that could lead you to the height of your dreams,.1-Courage to face the hurdles,..2-Passion to achieve it at any positive cost,..3-Never give up/Consistency4-Faith In ALLAH <3 (The mossssssssssst important)Only these parameters could lead you to build your dreams.."DREAMS ARE NOT JUST TO SEE BUT TO ACHIEVE" go for them,.. You are here to leave your mark, so mark it for a long time and for a better purpose,.#Regards:Maryam Aziz
LOVE (part three)
Shortly after my sister was born, they tried to live in California joining Dad’s parents, two brothers, and two sisters, but this did not work out. For some reason, they could not fit into the West coast lifestyle, but his older brothers, younger sister, and parents did. Our family moved back to the Midwest with Dad’s older sister and her family. So this left the Bovi clan divided by many miles. On every holiday we made it a point to talk with each other over the phone. At that time, a long distance phone call had to be in the budget to afford it.
Shortly after they returned, Dad found a job, and they saved everything they could to buy a house. This would not have been possible without the help of one of my uncles, Mom’s parents, and the bank. My parents were in debt for the first time in their lives, in “BIG” debt (as they thought). My uncle bet Dad that he would pay the mortgage off in half the time of the life of the loan. It was well short of even that time period. One of the rules of the house was not be in debt other than the mortgage. All cars were purchased with cash; clothes were made by Mom or paid for in cash. Nothing was done on credit.
The house was a two story side-by-side duplex. To help with the payments, they rented the other half of the house. This is where I was born and raised. It was where our little family learned to live modestly, love one another, and do things for others. We were fortunate to have experienced nothing but love in our childhood. It is not to say there were no arguments. There were plenty, but one rule they lived by was never go to bed mad. Resolve the problem even if it takes all night. I admired how they hugged and kissed each other when they parted and when they came home. We were taught love.
The other mandatory household rules were, we ate dinner together, we took vacations together, and we went to mass together. We also had our assigned chores to earn our allowances. When being informed about something, we were told once. If we had to be told twice, we never forgot it. Our listening skills were sharp. Punishment was something that did not happen often, but when it did, we remembered the reason for it, especially directly after. Trying to sit was not an easy task; however, I can recall only three times this happened in my lifetime, and I also remember the reason for each. (TO BE CONTINUED)
