ok hi. i finally finished my nightly reblog ritual. now i can post this and sleep lmao. i hit queue on accident and thought i deleted the post. i was ready to jump. it’s 4:30 am. anyway
highlights from sunchip's 5/24/26 live (it's really long and some stuff is more important than the rest, but it's mostly in chronological order):
megan, yoonchae, and sophia went to a bts concert together
sophia's favorite bts song is like. yoonchae likes that one too. sophia also loves dimple. gay af. yoonchae loves their old songs
yoonchae once again forgot how to speak korean because she was nervous. the first time was with rosé. the second time was with bts
sophia keeps the ac really cold. yoonchae hated that when they lived together. she had to use a heated blanket during the summer. sophia thinks it's better to be cold than hot because you can do something about being cold while you can't about being hot (and she's right)
when yoonchae turned 18, she told sophia she wanted to move out. they've never been to each other's places but they've picked up and dropped each other off
sophia thinks she's both bebot and kikay
sophia loves dogs and cats. she loves golden retrievers. when she gets a more permanent place and can take care of an animal, she's going to get a golden retriever first. yoonchae agrees. sophia's family has eleven cats now. there were twelve, but one died. yoonchae picked cats over dogs
sophia and yoonchae both say they like movies more than books. sophia "can't read." i can't wait for people to beat that horse to death like they did with megan. anyway, she says it's hard for her. "skill issue." she's good at skimming and scanning though. she has to go over the same sentence repeatedly to absorb it if she’s not skimming
she's a visual learner. if someone is telling her something, sometimes she has to be shown to understand. we'll come back to this later. yoonchae used to read. she brought a bunch of books from korea then never read them
sophia loves an (in-person) prank. yoonchae pranked lara and megan with sophia's help on april fools during coachella rehearsals. lara got so mad she almost cried. megan was also really mad
sophia said lara's a good girl. thinking........🤔💭😛🎉
sophia's been listening to madison beer a lot recently. she likes lovergirl. she's also been listening to julie london. she likes her version of misty. gay af pt. 2
yoonchae's dream vacation is hawaiʻi. okay. lmao
sophia wants to go to greece. she grew up traveling a lot, but didn't appreciate the scenery because she just hung out with her cousins the whole time
yoonchae's hair is a cooler tone now, instead of a more yellow one. she's toned (?) and touched up her roots a few times already. she says part of her hair is dead from sis-era bleaching
sophia believes in telling people you have feelings for them. if they say no, it's not the end of the world. i'm going to be ignoring this for my upcoming maphinz fic. yoonchae says "it's not that deep" and sophia says something about how sometimes it is
sophia says "at the end of the day" a lot. she hadn't noticed
sophia used to be on accutane. her skin was very prone to acne and scarring. it affected her confidence a lot (@kindmari the letters she wrote herself). she thinks it took longer to clear up when she was growing up because she kept using makeup to try to cover it
she tans easily (and unevenly) and scars dark. she uses body makeup and exfoliates. the end of last year/early this year was when sophia started feeling confident enough to go outside without makeup. the timing is because that's when she stopped using medication for it
yoonchae thinks acne is really stressful. one of her wishes used to be smooth skin. she breaks out whenever they have something important to do. she doesn't know why. (the answer is stress)
sophia explains puberty to yoonchae in maybe the least awkward way i've ever seen. yoonchae says that's a stupid thing to bully people over. sophia says that if you're going to judge someone's grooming choices, you need to grow up
sophia thinks it's never too late to change
sophia doesn't like geckos. @anti-frag1le this is terrible news for the megecko agenda
yoonchae is allergic to cats and her dad didn't want a pet. she had to beg to get a cat. she says if you want to beg successfully, you have to seem sad. you can't be excited. she would put on cute cat videos right before her parents would come home
here's the "we'll come back to this later" part. when yoonchae gets distracted mid-sentence, sophia says, "i think you have what i have. but let's not self-diagnose." later in the live, she says she has diagnosed adhd
what it looks like for her: internal restlessness, difficulty sleeping, hard time focusing, procrastination, time blindness, talking a lot, bunch of thoughts, cutting people off because she thinks she'll lose the thought she had, spacing out, brain never shuts off, easily distracted, can get really hyper, trouble absorbing what she's reading, needs to watch things on 2x speed, difficulty forming habits, forgetful/bad memory
she thinks the hardest part is when you want to do something, but can't make yourself start. she finds it frustrating when she stresses about a task until it's done, and then it ends up taking a short amount of time. it would've been so easy if she’d done it when she should have
she has to work hard in rehearsals because she relies on muscle memory. she won't know the choreo if you ask her. she needs the music to do it
school was hard for her
she has a psychiatrist and psychologist. she got diagnosed two years ago. it took a lot for her to accept she had it. she had to accept that it's a chemical thing, not her being lazy, etc.
sophia liked being asked what disney princess she'd be. she talks about how one of her dreams is to voice one. she thinks she's a combo of rapunzel (independence and belief in her dreams) and ariel (curiosity). she also says mulan (leaving home and fighting for her country)
yoonchae asks sophia who she'd be because she thinks sophia would know better than her. sophia assigns yoonchae rapunzel (artsy), belle (empathetic + artsy), and mulan (leaving home and in an uncomfortable situation)

sophia has fake freckles. she was inspired by dani. she's always wanted freckles because she thinks they're cute
yoonchae untied sophia's corset for some reason
sophia says that you have to talk like adults when breaking up with someone so you leave the relationship on decent terms. yoonchae says that she heard breakups are really hard. sophia says, "yeah, for sure, but i wouldn't know"

yoonchae's dad loves everything she does
yoonchae has been bothering everyone about going blonde since gnarly. she wanted pink hair for pinky up but now isn't sure she wants it anymore because she might like the blonde more. a few minutes later, she says she loves the blonde but is sick of it. she wants to go back to black hair
she envies the actors in k-dramas and thinks about how her hair used to be like that. she wants her vibe to be pretty, like touch, but she likes the blonde because you can explore a lot of different colors. she wants to go ginger
k-dramas sophia likes: business proposal, true beauty, my demon. she hasn't had the time or attention span to watch shows or movies recently. yoonchae said the name of a k-drama in korean. i don't speak korean. sorry
sophia ripped her nail off in a car door right before getting on her flight to vegas for wrestlemania. if she damaged a certain part of it, it might not grow back. she loved wrestlemania though. all the wrestlers she grew up watching were there. she fangirled over john cena. she was sad she didn't get to see the second day because she had to fly back to LA
sophia thinks people having crushes is cute. growing up she only had crushes on celebrities. she had, like, one non-celebrity crush. "i didn't have crushes on guys in school or whatever"
sophia's pinky is disproportionately small
someone comments that they have a crush on their best friend. sophia and yoonchae "awwww" about it. sophia says that's really cute. both of them stop talking (1:37:10) then sophia moves her phone so only yoonchae is in frame (1:37:13). they sit in silence (sophia is laughing) like this until 1:37:21 when:

one of sophia's favorite practices in the philippines is that they celebrate christmas for so long (september through march)
sophia's loves performing m.i.a. yoonchae loves performing gameboy. sophia agrees. yoonchae says it's fun with wind
sophia loves cuddling but it depends on who it is. yoonchae asks if she likes cuddling her. sophia says yoonchae doesn't like that. they say they've never cuddled. sophia says she doesn't really cuddle her friends. yoonchae says that they never really hug. everyone hugs sophia except yoonchae. sophia says that when she tries, yoonchae says they're like sisters
yoonchae thinks it feels weird to hug. since they lived together, they feel like family so it's awkward. yoonchae says megan hugs her a lot so she got used to it. yoonchae has once again failed to sisterzone megan
