AOT Live Show cancelled
On April 10, acrobat performer Kazutaka Yoshino was inspecting the wire set up for the upcoming Attack on Titan live performance in Japan. Yoshino died after falling around 30 feet. “Important announcement concerning the performance On Monday, April 10th, at the Maihama Amphitheater, a fall accident occurred during the inspection work on the stage equipment (operating equipment of the wires) which was considered for use within the performance. Kazutaka Yoshino, the acrobatics director passed away. We pray for the souls from the bottoms of our hearts. Although the cause for this incident is still being confirmed and details are unknown, we will cooperate fully with the police investigation to clarify the cause of the accident. Solemnly as said director, we took the situation and carefully examined the specs of the performance. Mr. Yoshino, who was well known worldwide, had requested to be the direct for the acrobats, performance coordinator and to appear within the show himself. His role was an irreplaceable one for the company, as he had such important roles for the overall action of the performance. In the period of time we have between now and the performance date, I judged that it is difficult to perform such moves with the current system in place.
