Last post about it I swear. Last weekend was rough. Going 0-6 and being outscored at a ratio of nearly 10-to-1 and being whalloped by D1 squads would make most teams fold. I've seen it happen over and over and it's incredibly disheartening when people lose their heart in sucb a wonderful sport. But this team has come a long way in a short amount of time and bounced back from adversity. I've been playing this sport for eight years with teams from five states, but not one is as much of a family as the guys and gals from Ohio Valley SCUF. No, we don't do discs. We don't try and win the party Saturday night. We won't dazzle you with athleticism and wind up on SC Top 10. But these men and women will show you love and compassion and sportsmanship that is terribly lacking in many people's lives. After four schools and some stupid number of miles later, I'm glad I ended up at an unknown university on the hillside. I'm glad I was chosen to captain these wonderful folks that I get to call my brothers and sisters. I'm happy that I get to share this sport with them and look forward to what SCUF can do in the coming months. #LiveLaughUltimate #SCUF #OVU #TheNewZealander (at Turner Valley Soccer Fields)
