I blocked that shipper who would dare to shove their hate on a fic created by a fan like no. I don't care if you don't like the ship, do not go out of your way to put them down like nononononononono i cannot fathom how much I hate behavior like this and I won't condone it for anything.
Oh god I know man. As someone who has had this happen to them multiple times in this fandom (ironically from the same set of shippers too mmmm), I can deeply tell you that it’s an absolute disgusting thing to do to someone else. At the end of the day, we are all fans here, every single thing we do IS FREE and made only out of the love we have for our ship/fandom and it’s a pretty shitty thing to do when a shipper comes onto a post or even to a blog and shoves their opinion down their throat. How many times have I seen people ACTUALLY COMMENTING ON ART/FICS, and only saying things like “EW KACCHAKO IS GROSS, XXX SHIP ALL THE WAY” or even “IZUOCHA IS GOING TO BECOME CANON SO EW” like?? At some point, if they aren’t hurting you with their fic/art, then why comment on stuff like that? It literally doesn’t do ANYTHING and what’s super ironic about the Izuocha shipper we are mentioning here actually stated in their bio that they wrote fics, which makes me not believe them because if they truly did write fiction and was really into it, they should understand 100% the thoughts, feelings, emotions, time, effort, etc that goes into a writing piece. Writing isn’t just slapping words on a document, it’s literally something you have to put a lot of effort into it and certain individuals (like myself) have to put in much more time/effort due to a variety of different factors (mine deals with concentration problems) so it kind of fucking sucks when after you put in all that time, the first thing you see is “NOOOO XXX IS BETTER” or “EWW THAT SHIP IS BAD” like no, STFU. Just let the fucking person be and instead of wasting your time harassing others, go enjoy what content is in your ship tag to begin with.
All in all, I fucking hate anyone who does it and I’m not afraid to unfollow anyone on my follow list if they pull this shit on anyone else since like I said, we are all fans here. Sure, some artists get paid for their work but 99% of fanfic writers don’t and its fucking shitty to bring them down for no apparent reason, especially when the fic in question was adorable.

- In this timeline, things change so Elizabeth survives and Michael dies. She carries crushing guilt and tries to be everything William demands so Michael’s death “means something.” She is sharper, quieter, and more obedient, missing Micheal’s guidance and protection from William.

Yes to your reply because I agree with you 100% I am a fanfiction writer and I can't even tell you how many HOURS, how many DAYS I spend on writing a fic because I love doing it and it's fun and just bringing ideas to life that would possibly never happen in canon is such an amazing feeling for me and if your ship is supposedly "canon" wtf are you feeling the NEED to express it? I feel the majority of hate towards kacchako is izuocha shippers and there's just no reason. Let us have our fun?
I’m so glad you understand the feeling anon because it truly does take more than what people imagine to write a fic. It’s been weeks since I started one fic of mine and it’s not even close to being done but you know what? I’m enjoying writing it, I’m loving every inch of it even though it’s been tough and I wouldn’t change any of it for the world. At some point, even though this is a situation where you can easily brush it off and call them a troll (even though I want people to get away from considering people like that trolls), it still doesn’t change the fact that a work was discredited simply for the sake of a ship. It make me sad that people are so hung up about their ships that they have to go out of their way to comment on a piece of work and bash the ship. It’s completely disrespectful and rude and I just don’t see how hard it is just to simply scroll past it and move on with your life. Guaranteed you’ll feel the same way if you do that so I just don’t understand. and *wheezes* I really tried to avoid saying that but you know what? I’ve been a part of a lot of FB groups, Im on discord, VK, instagram, even here on tumblr and the people who have shown the most aggression towards other in regards to their ship have been the izu/ocha shippers. Of course all ships have their issue people and there have been some nasty Tododeku shippers in regards to Todomomo and I know some amazing Izu/ocha shippers that are so sweet and kind but, in regards to an overall sense, the people who have shown the most aggression to other ships that involve Izuku or Ochako have been the Izu/ocha shippers. It’s been the nasty group of them that have went on rants on blaming homosexual ships for lack of content, it’s been only them surprisingly that went onto my Kacchako posts and went out of their way to discredit my opinions towards Kacchako (like I actually had someone actually continuously comment on my posts when I started out and Im like???), it was them that went onto my Kacchako amv and went “EW, its supposed to be IZU/OCHA”, it’s them that you post a differing ship on FB and they all spam comment “ITS SUPPOSED TO BE IZU/OCHA” for no reason, like it’s not a respectful “i don’t ship this but this is cute!” it’s an actual “EW OCHAKO IS SUPPOSED TO BE WITH DEKU”, and it was also them that in a group I was in, I had someone tell me to my face “Why would you ship Kacchako? That makes no sense, like why ship them? Its abusive. You should ship Izu/ocha”. Again, all ships have their problematic people, I’ve seen some nasty Tododeku, Bakushima, Katsudeku, even Kacchako shpipers. Heck, I could technically be considered one of the nasty Kacchako shippers and it happens in each ship fandom so I am not here pointing fingers to one group and saying all the issues lie with them because that’s not true, especially when you do have those absolute sweethearts who just want to enjoy the fluffy nature of their ship (which you know who you are, I even want to write you guys something because of how sweet you are). However, in my own personal experience, those nasty guys are more apparent than others I have personally seen and for some reason, they do like to show a good amount of aggression towards Kacchako and sometimes Midotsuyu/Tododeku as well, which confuses me immensely. It was actually funny, I had a friend tell me “for shipping something so sweet, they can be pretty vicious” and I agreed with that since I can show you right now samples of that. I hope that these guys will one day mellow down because I know I’ve gotten to a point where I want to make content for the ship since it was my first ship and I still love it a lot but I am also being turned off by this aggressive behavior as well and it just gives such a negative image to those sweethearts who just are minding their own business.
Sorry! I’ve been having a lot of thoughts on this lately since I’m getting tired of seeing it everyday and it just rambled out so I’m super sorry! Personally, I just am in the belief that people have differing opinions on who they ship and that everyone should just be respectful towards that! I mean, you wouldn’t go up to someone at a restaurant and be like “EW, that eggplant IS SO GROSS. You should have gotten THE PASTA” so I don’t understand why there can’t be that same courtesy. We have different ways of viewing the world and there’s no need to be aggressive over something simple like which two fictional characters we think would work best together. There’s no need to be forceful or mean! I think that, instead of channeling our love for our ships in hurtful ways,we should just stay in our lane and respect each other. My OTP is Kacchako and my best friend ships Todobaku and my other best friend ships no one and we’re still the best of friends so I’m just not understanding.
