what if gabe had vitiligo and that's why his arms look white

you know what, I thought about that possibility as well. especially after that one fic where he had vitiligo. might be also a possibility!

I also got people who wrote me that it’s probably just a lightening thing, n I would agree under normal circumstances. but this is his “show off 3D modell” n I also looked at reaper very close at the several maps. sunshine or darkness, that boy is as white as jack :’D 

another idea I had the other day was- what if reaper did this on purpose? he can change his body into smoke after all so maybe he has also the ability to change other properties like colour of skin n he “paled himself” for a better cover? (aka “No one shall no that it is I, Gabriel Reyes! *domdomdooooom*)

whatever the reason for this may be I hope we get an explanation at some point cause I am a curious fucker (just show is what’s behind reapers mask, blizzard!)

why do you enjoy tormenting us

I don’t! But I can’t say that I’m not delighted at the reaction I’m seeing from chapter 4. 

To me, narratives are more interesting when there is conflict. Hanzo’s emotional conflict is really the centerpiece of this fic, and exploring his emotions means there’s some conflict to be had! Characters don’t grow without some of that conflict.

That said, it means that I’m doing a good job as a writer if you’re feeling a little tormented. I like narrative that evokes emotion! If I’m successful on that front, then to me that’s a good sign that the story is going the way I want it to, and that readers are having the right reactions!I can promise you that this is a “two steps forward, one step back” situation. Hanzo’s got some stuff to work through. You can probably already see that he’s starting to change, as a character. That’s not always a linear and smooth and easy process, but I’m the type of writer that only does happy endings. I hope that, while this conflict and cliffhanger is painful, the resolution will be all the sweeter and more satisfying! :)

Oh man! The tiefling is not mine, actually.

Me, @erindizmo, @caphairdadbeard, @coffeesuperhero and I don’t have Z’s tumblr somehow, wtf, are all in a game run by @stickthisbig.

We are affectionately called Smols n Tols, because we used to be Three Smols and a Tol -- halfling ranger (me), gnome bard, dwarf cleric, and human fighter -- before we acquired a tiefling fighter as well.

My Gedda is a small town local hero, founder and leader of her tiny halfling village’s militia, who’s out fighting much larger and uglier things than she’s used to in the big wide world. We’re currently in the middle of searching for our tiefling friend’s parents, who left her to be raised by a halfling family (unrelated to my character’s). We’ve just found out that they mysteriously vanished while on a mission against the chaos-death-god-cult that we’ve fought several times in the past. SPOOKY!

The last major arc involved Gedda’s hometown and family, and she and Slay (@coffeesuperhero‘s adorabadass tiefling) bonded quite a lot over their shared cultural history and love of baked goods. This unexpected commonality of their pasts is entirely the reason Gedda is in fact ride or die for her tiefling, and so invested in Slay’s quest, and wants her to find her family, and wants her to be happy. And wants to know more about her and understand her. And gets excited little bubbles in her chest when she charges into battle with her scimitars glinting in blazing arcs, and makes frequent travel and combat based excuses to climb up on her shoulders, and is constantly torn between staring intently at her eyes or her lips when she’s helping her learn Infernal.

They just have a lot in common, is all. (Adventuring is maybe not the only thing Gedda is incredibly naive about.)

I already do! I even somewhat manage to keep in mind which one has what kind of tip in it, but there is just The One, that’s my absolute favourite re-discovered again and again, and I’m just petulant enough to go through all my pockets to find it. (and then throw a fit when I can’t find it lol)
