The Blacklist folks, how do you feel about an appreciation week of rare ships, e.g, keen2, lizvabi, resslington, Illya/Red, Kat/Red, Cooper/Red?

For those who don't ship but might want to do something, you can think of crackships like Red/fedora, Ressler/his service weapon, Cooper/his scotch hooch. Whatever your heart desires.

I'm weighing a possibility of hosting one, but not sure if it's worth the effort given how itchy fandom is these days.

Or, maybe, it's something this fandom needs - to remind people we're all different, we love different things, and that's cool coz we're all in love with TBL.

Since it's rare ships week, 2 major ships which are actively trending and etc right now aren't allowed, eg lizzington and keenler since they have their appreciation weeks/months respectfully.

Only (non-canon or canon) TBL ship which you can think of.

If at least 10 people would agree, I'll set up a side blog y'all can follow, write the themes, rules, dates, etc. I'm thinking either to start on 14th of March, or on 21st. The latest, first week of April.

If you aren't on board with this, that's fine too - I'll just do my own rare ship challenge. It's just testing the waters :D Don't feel pressured.

I understand how much backslash this might get since some of the ships include characters people hate, so I'll think (in case 10+ folks will be onboard with me) how to minimize that.

Either by just allowing people to submit posts directly to the events' blog - if anything, I'd deal with haters myself so that creators be chill; or by closing replies to the event blog.

A very radical decision in case haters be coming at people - I'll see if I can switch blog to private mode (so posts would circulate only within event's blog and be reblogged by participants supporting each other) and if people still can submit their stuff to it too. But I'm an optimist, hope it doesn't come to that.

In the wake of Liz's death, Samar struggles through her grief, finding connection with the one person she knows that loved Liz like she did. Each forced to face their own unrequited feelings, Reddington and Samar learn to navigate their strange friendship and their shared guardianship of Agnes.

And then Liz comes back, and it all comes crashing down.

Lizzington/Navabington/Lizvabi (= Lizvabington???) - goofy smut

Liz dared to tell Red about her fantasy - wild sex on an FBI sanctioned desk with the Concierge of Crime - so now they are on their way to her office but not without running into some obstacles first. Meanwhile Samar forgot her keys at work and has to go back to the Post Office where she finds that her keys aren't the only thing lying on a desk after business hours.

“Is that a tattoo?”

It’s not often that Liz has to use the showers in the locker room of the Post Office, but she and Samar had spent the better part of the last few hours working out, culminating in the two of them sparring, trading punches until both their hands were red and soar.  

And now, here she was, pink all over from the hot water, and making her way to her locker.  Her and Samar have lockers near each other, but they’ve said enough this afternoon, so they dress in silence.  

Neither of them are ashamed of their bodies, but it’s still awkward to dress in front of a friend, so Liz pulls her underwear on beneath her towel before turning her back on Samar to pull on a bra.  

“Is that a tattoo?” Samar says and then Liz feels soft, long fingers graze against her spine.  She tries to will away the goosebumps that pop up along her shoulders and arms, but fails to suppress the shudder the touch causes.  

“Um,” Liz starts and then swallows hard.  “Yeah.”  

“What does it mean?” Samar asks and Liz can feel the warmth of her body behind her, her fingertips pressing more firmly against the Cyrillic inked along her back.  

Liz clears her throat and swallows again.  “We will live – we will see.”  She turns slowly, her height against Samar’s meaning her gaze is right at the other woman’s neck.  She slides her gaze upwards, along the long, smooth skin, over the sharp planes of Samar’s jaw and nose, before finally catching the other woman’s eye.  

She watches for a moment as Samar’s eyes flit all over Liz’s face and they both swallow heavily when she finally catches Liz’s eye again.  Neither of them notice how close they’ve gotten or that both of them are breathing a little heavier than before.  

“It’s nice,” Samar says, quirking her lips into a smile.  

“Thank you,” Liz answers, returning a smile of her own.
