Brittany picked her phone up and put it down again, rechecking her texts while she chewed at her bottom lip. She was sitting up straight against the headboard of LJ’s bed, legs stretched out in front of her. “Do you think I pushed Lottie away too much?” She asked, nudging a little at LJ’s side with her knee. “I don’t think she trust me anymore.”

“I know you won’t be leaving for good just yet but I thought you’d like this anyway, for when you do. I made it from sea glass collected here on the island. Congratulations, Mx.”

They were supposed to be having seven minutes in heaven but it mostly turned into seven minutes of sitting in her closet and excitedly talking at each other until Brittany began rambling about class next year and remembered LJ was graduating. Buzzed by the alcohol and feeling a little emotional being surrounded by her friends at the end of the year Brittany’s bottom lip jutted out and her eyes welled up quickly. She sniffled. “I’m not gonna have class with you next year.” @ljgilbert​

Spotting LJ, Brittany cupped her hands around her mouth to yell across the room toward them. “SUPER slow-mo run and hug!! GO!” @ljgilbert​

Brittany bounced on her heels, watching as the last of the party guests made their way out. She’d already closed things up with the burlesque performers, who were awesome, and was just about to start picking up the last of the party things but the sight of LJ filled her with another abundant slew of joy and she sprung to pull them into a tight hug. “You’re totally in a claim!” The blonde exclaimed, as if it were new information to her. She was just excited and the celebrating had gone extra well. “Did you have a good time?” Britt asked, tightening her hold and speaking into LJ’s shoulder. @ljgilbert​
