As the year nears to a close, I decided to redraw this piece of Isaac from about a year and a few months ago. It's always cool to see how I've improved since then. Also added Llany in there because isaac is no alone on his travels anymore<3

"Mutants? Well...I can really only speak for the Asur, but, as a proud people it is only natural that they reject any person they deem... deviant, from the social norm. Elves, specifically, have only been known to suffer afflictions of the mind."
Llany folds his hands, thinking.
"I'm of the belief that all elven kind are prone to madness. It is only a matter of time, when you live for so long."
For far too long...
personal headcanons under the cut time
Asur/High Elves: Like Llanthandrithel says, the Asur are quick to reject any obvious mutants--at least for Elves if the mental mutations are very apparent. Like the druchii, the Asur indulge in debauchery, but they're more uptight about the social reputation aspect. They'll attend the murder orgies, but then act like they're above that the very next day. If one shows any obvious mental mutation that they can't control or easily keep under wraps, the unfortunate elf is booted or executed.
Asrai/Eonir/Wood Elves: The wood elves approach it the same way they do the elven pantheon; there is no strict "good" or "bad", light/dark, everything has its place in the world. It is merely about which elements you embrace in your life, and what you must balance. In Immaranhu's case, his mutations essentially make him a restless, ruthless hunter, which has led to unfortunate and grisly killings of fellow hunters. After a time, he has embraced it as part of his identity, and learned to cope by using his skills to help instead of destroy. Though, without Llany's magic ability to clear the mind, who knows where Immaranhu would be today...
Druchii/Dark Elves: Like the wood elves, the dark elves embrace the afflictions as blessings from their gods. They lean into it wholeheartedly, celebrating it as a part of their culture of unique individual identity. This makes them the most authentic, which is a double edged sword. You will never doubt a Druchii's intentions, for better or for worse. Vice over virtue and all that.
🞜 While Immaranhu prowls the forest in pursuit of wild beasts, Llanthandrithel stays in the towns.
He spends his time amongst the locals, learning their ways of life and building connections, all while praying his beloved returns safely...
