Hello Friends. We wanted to continue with our Made For a Miracle Introductions. . . Next we have our Founder and Executive Director Angelina Castleberry who is a mom of 6! She had 31 weeker twins at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital in 2014. Her son had 2 surgeries in utero. He was gravely ill but surpassed all expectations. Twin girl was in the NICU for 8 wks and her son was in the NICU for 5 months. After discharge he had lots of special needs that came along with many complications. Having 17 surgeries throughout his 4 years of life. He had a successful kidney transplant in 2017. . . While going through all of this, she realized there was such a great need for NICU parents, like herself, to have support and encouragement while going through their NICU journey. So she decided to start volunteering and collecting donations for gifts and care packages for families. . . Angelina volunteers yearly with the Ronald McDonald House Walk for Kids, the March of Dimes Signature Gala and is a member of the Big Hearts for Little Hearts-Desert Guild. She has spoken at several events about her sons NICU journey and diagnosis. She is a patient and parent advocate at Loma Linda Children's Hospital and is a member of the Patient Family Advisory Council. She is the Chair of the new NICU Advisory Council and Family Support at #lluch. . . If you had a NICU baby at Loma Linda and are interested in joining Angelina for the NICU advisory council, be a part of the parent mentoring or want information about how to volunteer for special NICU events, send her a message at [email protected]. . . #madeforamiracle #blessings #nicugrad #lluch #lomalindafamily #familysupport #momlife (at Loma Linda University Children's Health) https://www.instagram.com/p/B7XJPNUD80g/?igshid=1nzhe7bohrrrd
