These Ultimate Loaded Chili Nachos are ideal for any get-together, including game day. They have melted cheese, lots of flavorful chili, and optional jalapeo slices for added spiciness. Fresh cilantro is also sprinkled on top. Enjoy and get in!
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1 onion, finely chopped. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 can 15 oz chili beans. 1 can 15 oz black beans, drained and rinsed. 1 can 15 oz diced tomatoes. 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese. 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese. 1 bag 10 oz tortilla chips. 1/2 cup sour cream. 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro. 1 jalapeo pepper, sliced optional. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Eliminate extra fat. Add minced garlic and chopped onion to the skillet. Cook until the onion is soft, 2 to 3 minutes. Add the diced tomatoes with their juice, black beans, and chili beans and stir. To taste, add salt and pepper for seasoning. Simmer for ten to fifteen minutes, stirring now and then. Set the oven temperature to 175C 350F. Arrange the tortilla chips in a single layer on a sizable baking sheet or serving platter that is safe to use in the oven. Over the tortilla chips, distribute half of the shredded Monterey Jack and cheddar cheese. Evenly cover the chips and cheese with the chili mixture. Place the remaining cheese on top. Bake for ten to fifteen minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and melted, in an oven that has been preheated. Take out of the oven and, if you'd like, top with sliced jalapeo peppers, chopped cilantro, and sour cream. Serve right away as a tasty appetizer or snack!
