On Tuesday night, District Magistrate Shyam Bihari Meena and SP Yogendra Kumar jointly conducted night patrolling in Madhepura to investigate the law and order regarding Bakrid. During this, the officials visited all the areas of the city to take stock of the situation and appealed to the people to celebrate the festival in a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere. Intermittently at the intersections, DM Shyam Bihari Meena and SP Yogendra Kumar also advised people to follow the Corona guidelines. DM appealed to the people not to make mass sacrifices on Bakrid. Offer special Bakrid prayers at home. Avoid crowds and follow corona protocol.

During the night patrolling, when the staff of office bearers were roaming in the market, some shops were open at Masjid Chowk in the city and some people were also walking on the road. After this, Aisi asked everyone to come out of the house wearing masks. At the same time, the SP started saying that the rickshaw driver is wearing a mask, you should also wear a mask. Corona is not over yet. On the spot, the SP said that magistrates and police forces have been deployed to maintain peace.
Preparations have been made for Bakrid
Earlier, DM and SP jointly held a meeting with the block level officer through video conferencing regarding Bakrid. It was told in the meeting that all religious places in the district would remain closed for the public in light of the restrictions imposed by the state government from July 7, 2021 to August 6, 2021 with partial modifications. There will be a ban on all kinds of social, political, entertainment, sports, educational, cultural and religious events and functions. There will be a ban on any kind of government and private events in public places.
Along with this, it was appealed to all that during the celebration of Bakrid festival, Kovid friendly behavior and updated Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) related to social distancing and wearing of masks etc. will be compulsorily followed. In order to check anti-social elements, the sub-divisional officers and sub-divisional police officers and magistrates deputed at various places were instructed to keep a special vigil.
