Plus BH fans stopped watching way back at 4 x 17 and it has been a steady decline ever since. To try and turn that to basically say that BH's did it to hurt a woman of color is just sickening. This woman isn't a journalist, and has zero integrity. She is just a ship fan pretending to be something else.
there is nothing wrong with not wanting to watch something you won't enjoy
nothing
this isn’t a job.
The Barchie meltdown on Twitter is epic right now
I can only imagine lmao
You do you. I am a firm believer if you can't laugh at yourself you can't laugh at others
Yas, hunty.
I posted this thought on my blog but I would love to get your thoughts on it.
But I kind of see a Dawson’s Creek parallel moment here, from right after Dawson’s dad died? With Jughead playing the Pacey roll in a way.
In Dawson’s Creek Pacey is talking to Joey after the funeral and she basically let’s the cat out of the bag that Dawson was back because they were going to try to explore their feelings again. To which Pacey basically says. “I get it, and you deserve to try because the way I see it you never really got your shot.” To which they eventually did take that shot, it blew up and end the end she end up back with Pacey.
Now no, I don’t think Jughead is going to have that conversation with Betty while it is happening. But I think after he maybe being hurt at first after he finds out he will eventually look at it that way. Like okay I get it, you had lingering feelings you explored them and it either blew up or you found out that your don’t belong together. And now it is over for good.
i agree. i think (and riverdale is another berlanti production, right?) that jughead is not going to be thrilled. he might pretend to be fine with it and he might even rationally know that he has no rights to betty’s feelings or body anymore (release the voicemail, ras is now my theme song) but there is no room for rationality in feelings.
(ironically, think twice by eve 6 just came on my playlist, hah)
i do think that they’re all going to have regrets over this. jughead is going to be hurt, even if he doesn’t admit it, betty is hurting herself and then she’s going to regret hurting him, archie is...well. archie is maybe using betty? that seems wrong, i don’t think he’d intentionally use her but maybe passively using her? if that makes sense. like, to me, i think maybe betty really thinks jughead doesn’t care about her anymore so why not? she’s never going to be able to dull the pain with jughead, there’s too much history. and archie is her friend and she might consider him “safe.”
i think that they’re hiding it is an indicator that they probably agree on some level it’s wrong but they’re both in a bad place. and i agree, i think jughead will understand on some level, eventually, that they closed the door on it and they can both move on past it.
i think betty just wants to feel something right now. makes me a little worried about choices she might make in regards to the tbk or polly later on tbh.
maybe if Archie was even a remotely an interesting character he would get more screen time. And you all trash a women a lot that you want to be the other half of your ship. But that's right the most unethical character on the show will make her a better person.
I'm actually suprised I thought they would find out about the kiss closer to the finale. This way actually might give them time to work it out. Guess we will see.
We have months to think about it. I will worry about it then.
I don't know why but I can't see him without thinking of the Treble Makers.
HAHA Yeah, I got that at first. But it’s a really good show!
