"Are you sure Laura's okay with this?" You questioned raising an eyebrow at Clint.
"It was her idea actually." He responded with a shrug.
Nodding your head, you hummed. Making your way into the house, you were greeted with a chilly gust of air. Shivering slightly, your sweating came to a halt.
"Remind me again why we're here?" Loki questioned from beside you.
Jumping at the sudden scare, you placed a hand over your rapidly beating heart. "Don't do that!"
Furrowing his eyebrows together in confusion, he frowned. "Do what?"
"Sneak up on me, like that!" You shrieked sending a playful hit to his shoulder.
The sound of his chuckle filled your ears, sending your stomach into somersaults.
"Sorry, Bunny." He smirked.
Rolling your eyes, you made your way towards one of the empty spare rooms. Placing your belongings on the bed, you heard the sound of pitter-patter from your niece and nephew. Grinning to yourself, you bounded down the stairs.
"Auntie Y/N!" You were greeted with small cheerful voices.
Giggling you held your arms open to greet them. Kneeling down to their level, you pulled them in for a hug.
It wasn't long before their voices sang through your ears, letting you know what they've been doing before school let out. Nodding your head, you listened intently. Before long, you felt a pair of eyes boring into you. Turning to follow the feeling, you caught Loki staring at you.
Quickly averting his gaze, you felt a smirk dance along your lips. The somersaults returned in your stomach.
Rolling your eyes, you made your way towards one of the empty spare rooms. Placing your belongings on the bed, you heard the sound of pitter-patter from your niece and nephew. Grinning to yourself, you bounded down the stairs.
The few days, went by without a hitch. The scorching summer heat hadn't let up. Around the house, Avengers were scattered about laying in the chilly air in hopes of staying comfortable.
"Auntie Y/N?" Lila's sweet voice questioned pulling you from your thoughts.
"Yes?" You turned toward her gazing downward.
"Can we make some baked goods?" She questioned beaming up at you.
"Of course we can." You smiled.
Making your way towards the kitchen, you began pulling out the necessary equipment. Lila leaned against the counter awaiting instruction.
Standing side by side, you began making sugar cookies. As you began icing them, Loki entered.
"What are you doing?" He questioned tilting his head slightly.
"We're making cookies!" Lila responded filled with excitement.
Nodding your head, you beamed at Loki. "Do you want to help?"
"I...Uh.."
"Come, I'll show you." You grinned, motioning for him to join you.
"Are you sure, Bunny?"
Heat rose in your cheeks, as you felt the butterflies in your stomach. The team was aware of your shared feelings for each other. Each of them encouraging you both to stop dancing around your feelings for one another.
You hummed in response, as you dropped your gaze back to what you were doing. Glancing up, you saw Lila smirk between you and Loki with a knowing gaze. Sighing, you shook your head.
"You can put the sprinkles on." You mumbled once Loki stood beside you.
After some time, the kitchen was filled with laughter and warmth. Loki had started forming a bond with Lila. She would tease him playfully while he attempted to do the same. Most of the time, he made terrible dad jokes that resulted in both you and Lila bellowing in laughter.

Shrugging off your swimsuit cover, you made yourself comfortable in the lounger between Natasha and Wanda. Closing your eyes, you laid in the sun.
"What's going on between you and Reindeer games?" Natasha questioned, turning to face you while holding a hand above her eyes shielding her from the luminescent sun.
"What do you mean?" You frowned, rolling your head in her direction.
"I know you like him, and he likes you-"
"How do you know that?" You questioned raising an eyebrow in question.
"Are you seriously asking me that?" She challenged.
Frowning, you shook your head. Sighing, you returned your head to its previous place. "Guess not. Besides, he doesn't like me like that."
"You can't be serious!"
"On the contrary." You shrugged. "I'm going to go swimming."
Racing up from the chair, you made your way towards the pool. Jumping in, you allow yourself to be consumed with the lukewarm water. The water allowing you to cool off, and regain your thoughts.
Surfacing, you swam towards the edge of the pool. Folding your arms on the ledge, you closed your eyes in relaxation as you tuned in to the sounds of birds chirping, the drains from the sides of the pool.
"Tired?"
Gasping, you hadn't expected Loki to appear beside you. "You could say that."
Loki nodded as he mirrored your position.
Gazing silently at each other, you weren't sure who leaned in first. Nor did it matter. Nearing closer to each other, the sound of Clint yelling if everyone was ready to leave caused you both to jump away from each other.
Exiting the pool, Loki extended a hand downward assisting you out of the pool.
---
Letting out a frustrated huff, you threw your hands down on the bed. Seconds later, the soft sound of a knock caught your attention.
"Are you awake?" Loki questioned gently.
"Yeah." You muttered, groaning as you rolled onto your side.
Closing the door, Loki rounded the bed in hopes of meeting the free side of the bed. Climbing under the covers, he made himself comfortable.
"Do you-"
Before he could finish his question, you were cuddled up on his chest letting out a content sigh. His chilly temperature immediately providing a cooling sensation you had been seeking since arriving at Clint's house.
The sound of his chuckle filled the air. Wrapping an arm around your shoulder then your waist, he gently tugged you closer.
Leaning up, you gazed at Loki's features as the moonlight allowed enough illumination to study him.
Moving closer to him, you allowed Loki enough time to question your movements or to pull away from you. What you weren't expecting was for him to lace one of his hands in your hair tugging you faster to him.
Latching his lips to yours, you shared a short and sweet kiss. It was in nothing but innocence.
Grinning, you placed one last chaste kiss upon his lips before returning to your previous place upon his chest.
"Good night, Bunny."

summary| after losing control of your powers your ‘brother’, loki, comes to earth to make sure you’re okay. (halfblood!reader)
He knew he shouldn't have been there, but he couldn't help it. Hecate warned him not to interfere with her life, but after hearing what happened... he needed to know that she was okay. He didn't understand how she had no care in the world about what happened to y/n. It was her fault that y/n had the darkness in her that was destroying her. He knew as he entered the girl's bedroom through the door connected to her balcony, that if she woke up. He'd basically be dead. She didn't remember and that killed him because he did remember, he remembered everything. He quietly stocked over to the side of the girl's bed, staring down at her. When she was asleep and wasn't being terrified by nightmare she slept peacefully in a dreamless sleep. "You shouldn't be here." His head snapped up, Tony Stark. He didn't hear the door open and didn't even notice the small amount of light being let in from the hallway.
"What are you doing here, Loki?" Tony sat on the couch in the living room Stark Tower while Loki stood on the other side of the room with his arms crossed staring out the window. "Everyone heard about what happened. I needed to make sure she was okay." "It's not your job to make sure she's okay." Tony now stood, only to have Loki turn to face him. "No it's not, but I seem to be the only person who is even worried. You, you put her in a school full of powerless mortals without any protection. What did you expect to happen?" Loki spat at Tony, which made Tony snap running and throwing Loki up against the glass wall holding him by his shirt. After what she has said earlier, Tony didn't need some God telling him how to parent. "You need to leave me and my daughter alone. She doesn't remember you and even if she does she won't ever go back to the way it was before." Loki laughed throwing his head back against the glass. "You just can't admit it to yourself that you failed at being a father." Tony slammed Loki into the glass again. "I've done a better job than her no good mother."

– Chamou-me. – Falo nervosa.
– Loki Laufeyson.
– Lorelei. – Ele fala quase num sussurro deixando-me confusa.
– Não percebi. Podes repetir?
– Nada, a menina parecia-me familiar.
– Falo tentando manter a calma.
– Ele corrige-me.
– A sério? Conta-me mais.
– Loki fala deixando-me surpresa.
– Admito a loucura continuando a tentar conter o riso.
– Eu estou a falar a sério.
– Loki poupa-me e poupa-te a ti.
– Mantém a Ravonna fora disto. Lorelei, tens que me ouvir. – Ele chama-me aquele maldito nome outra vez.
– Pela última vez o meu nome é Anna. – Levanto-me frustrada e volto costas para ele respirando fundo.
– Deixa-me mostrar-te.
– Porque a TVA apagou todas as tuas memórias.
Dirijo-me até Odin, Thor, Frigga e Sif.
Saio dali e abro a porta entrando em outro ambiente, tudo me vinha à cabeça.
– Eu lembro-me...
– Desculpa. – Abraço-o e ele retribui envolvendo-me nos seus braços.
– Nós temos que sair daqui Lorelei e temos que encontrar Sylvie. – Loki fala em alerta.
– Eu sei.
– Ravonna fala e Mobius apenas olhava-a incrédulo.
Tento recompor-me, mas a estava impossível.
– Agora voltamos e destruímos a TVA e a Ravonna.
Author's Note: I feel like as a whole there should be a lot more single-parent Au's. Just my opinion, momma's need love too🤷♀️ Also this has quotes from Loki in it. Possible mini-series???

"What are we supposed to do with reindeer games, over there?" Tony questioned as he vaguely nodded in the direction Loki was standing.
"I can hear you." Loki hissed crossing his arms along his chest. Rolling his eyes he was unimpressed with Tony's snarky comments.
Sighing to yourself, you rolled your eyes. "Why can't he stay here in the tower?" You quipped while raising an eyebrow. "You know, where it's secure.."
"She's got a point, Tony." Bruce chimed in glancing at Tony expectantly.
"Nonsense." Thor's voice boomed. "He shall stay here with us." He clapped Loki on the shoulder.
"See!" You exclaimed pointing in their direction. "My point exactly!"
"I don't even know why we're talking about this." Bruce groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose as he let out a loud huff.
"Because he can't be trusted." Tony shrugged.
Scoffing you shook your head. Glancing at your watch, you had to leave.
"As much as I'd hate to leave this..." Your voice trailed off as you gathered your belongings before standing up. "Heated conversation, I have to go."
"Saved by the bell," Bruce spoke only loud enough for you to hear. Sharing a quiet laugh, you began leaving the room.
"I got it!" Tony exclaimed as he slapped his hands on the table.
The loud sound causing you to jump slightly. Turning to face him, you raised an eyebrow at him as you crossed your arms along your chest.
"Got what exactly?"
"Why doesn't reindeer games stay with you?"
Your jaw fell slack as soon as the words left his lips. Opening and closing your mouth like a fish out of water, you felt yourself at a loss for words. The room fell silent as soon as the words had been spoken. While you felt as if all eyes were on you. Quickly glancing at Loki, he held an expression that you couldn't quite recognize. Softness? Want?
"Tony, can I speak to you for a moment?" You hissed, crossing your arms along your chest.
"Why don't-"
"Now!" You shrieked, making your way into the hallway.
Once you were both in the semi-private area of the hall, you glared at him.
"Why would you even let that thought cross your mind?"
"Well... Uh.." Tony shifted from foot to foot, as he fidgeted with his wedding band.
"You know that can't happen." You snarled nodding in the direction of the room.
"But-"
Your phone began ringing.
Sighing, you glanced at the caller ID before answering, and letting the sitter know you would be running late.
"Seems like you don't have much of a choice," Tony smirked, crossing his arms along his chest.
"If you think even for a minute, that I'm going to let-"
"We don't have any other options, Y/N," Tony spoke, using his stern voice.
Glaring up at him, you turned to glance through the glass. Crossing your arms along your chest, you let out a huff.
"Fine. But if he even has a toe out of line-"
"I know, I know, you'll gut him like a fish."
----
The sky was illuminated with an orange and pink tint, as the sun began to set. Driving back to your house was filled with silence as neither one of you wanted to break the silence. Your mind going a hundred miles a minute as you attempted to mentally prepare yourself for what you were about to do. Pulling into your garage, you turned the car off as you let out a huff.
"Let's get one thing straight." You spoke quietly, not breaking your gaze from in front of you.
The feeling of Loki staring at you overtook your senses.
"My kid is off-limits." Glancing out of the corner of your eye, you saw Loki's expression contort into a confused one. "I don't care what you do, what you've done."
You both shared a sigh.
"But if you harm my kid-"
"You'll gut me like a fish." He finished for you.
Turning to face him, you raised an eyebrow at him.
"Stark told me." He shrugged offering you a soft smile.
Smiling you nodded your head. "Good."
Exiting the car, you lead the way into your house.
The sound of a Disney movie playing filled your ears. Placing your keys on their hook, you toed off your shoes. Glancing at Loki, you gave him an expectant look. Rolling his eyes, he mirrored your previous actions before waiting for your approval.
Walking to the living room, you re-leaved the babysitter allowing you to plop down on the couch beside your daughter.
"Mommy!" She squealed throwing her small arms around your neck. Giggling, you felt your lips slide into a toothy grin as you did your best to reciprocate the hug.
Pulling away, you placed soft kisses along he cheeks causing fits of giggles to erupt from her. Glancing in the direction of Loki, her gentle grasp turned into a firm one.
Following her gaze, you giggled. "That's mommy's friend."
"Oh." She muttered quietly, as she nodded her head.
Gesturing for Loki to have a seat, he found home in one of the farthest seats from you.
"Stella, this is Loki." You spoke, motioning towards the man.
Nodding her head, she moved into your lap nuzzling her face into your neck. Giggles fell past your lips, as you glanced at Loki. "Sorry, she's shy."
Once everyone had eaten, you brought mountains of blankets to the couch. Cuddling up in yours, you glanced at Stella watching her hand Loki a few of her favorite ones. Loki gazed at her in confusion.
Stella's giggles filled the room. "Those are a few of my favorite ones." She explained. "Mom and I wrap ourselves in blankets and watch movies."
Nodding his head, he did the best that he could to wrap himself in the child-size blankets.
As the movie played, the room was filled with silence. Glancing towards Stella, you scrunched your eyebrows to see she wasn't beside you. Panic began bubbling up inside you before you heard a soft call for your name. Turning toward the voice, your jaw fell slack.
Stella had burrowed herself into Loki's side while being fast asleep.
"I...I'm sorry." You whispered, the scrunched-up expression still upon your features. "She doesn't usually do that to people she doesn't know." You couldn't help the frown that made its way upon your lips.
"It's quite alright," Loki whispered back, maneuvering his hand to allow him to scratch her head. A content sigh slipped past her slumbering lips.
Nodding your head, you turned back to the movie. Your mind kept wandering to Loki and your daughter. It wasn't long before sleep overwhelmed you.
A gentle nudge, startled you awake. Your heart beating rapidly. "It's alright." Loki's voice echoed through your ears, carrying a gentle and caring tone.
Glancing toward the area Stella had previously occupied, you were greeted with an empty space with lumps of blankets. Furrowing your eyebrows together, you felt your hands begin to sweat.
"She's in her room. She's okay." Loki cooed.
Snapping your head in his direction, you felt a slight relief wash over you. Before you could question Loki already was answering.
"I put her in her bed." He spoke cautiously. "I woke you up because I didn't want you to be sore in the morning." He was scratching his neck as a pink tint danced along his cheeks.
"Oh." You murmured. Confusion overwhelmed you. "Uh, T-Thank you."
Nodding his head, he shifted from foot to foot. Mirroring his previous action, you made your way towards the stairs, as you felt your stomach doing somersaults. The thought of Loki caring plagued your mind.

"Wanda, can I talk to you for a second?” You questioned raising an eyebrow at her, as you gazed skeptically at Vision. “Alone.”
“Of !” She smiled. “I’ll be right back, Vis.”
Sighing, you led her outside to the back porch before taking a seat at the table.
“What’s the matter?” She questioned sitting opposite of you.
“What’s going on?”
Wanda frowned. “What do you mean?”
“Come on, Wanda! It’s me!”
“I can see that..” Her voice trailed off in confusion.
“One minute we were fighting for our lives against Thanos...” You sighed, rubbing your temples. “Loki was dead. He died.”
“No, he didn’t, he’s right inside,” Wanda spoke furrowing her eyebrows together. “What is a ‘Thanos’?”
Your jaw fell slack. “You...You don’t remember Thanos?”
“Is it a dress designer?” She questioned her eyes sparkling as she tilted her head slightly.
“I...erm...N-Not exactly.” You gapped at her.
“There you lovely ladies are! We were beginning to wonder where you went!” Vision spoke, leading Loki over towards the outdoor dining table, food in their hands.
Sighing you shook your head.
“I’m going for a walk.” You stood abruptly, almost tearing your dress skirt.
Not bothering to wait for a response, you power-walked in the direction of the sidewalk before making your way down the streets of Westview.
Time had seemingly slipped away as you wandered aimlessly down the sidewalks. Dawn was quickly approaching as you had begun to panic. Each street you took, looked the same as your own.
“Are you lost?” A comforting voice questioned.
Whirling around, you came face to face, with two of the most beautiful women you had ever seen.
“Yeah.” You sighed. “I guess I am.”
“Have no fear, we’re neighbors! Let’s get you home.” One of the women spoke. She had brown hair, while the other had black hair that was permed out.
“I’m Monica.” The dark-haired girl spoke, holding her hand out. Accepting her hand, you couldn’t help but gaze at her necklace. There was something familiar about it, but you couldn’t quite place a finger on it.

Relief washed over you, the minute you had stepped foot in the tower. It had been three long months since you had gone back home to visit your family. It was around 11:30 pm when you finally got back to the tower. Grabbing your bag you walked into the tower.
The familiar aroma it had, breezed through your nose as you inhaled it. Walking into your chambers, you immediately changed before crawling into bed and letting sleep over take you.
Changing into your favorite sweatpants and crew neck, you scurried to the kitchen. The sound of laughter and chatter filled the air. As you opened the door, the chatter came to a crashing halt.
“Y/N!”
Wanda was the first to greet you and tug you in for a hug.
“Did you know she was here?” Steve questioned Tony.
“I had no idea.” Tony responded with surprise. “I didn’t think she was suppose to be back until next week?”
“I couldn’t help it.” You commented, sliding into the seat beside Tony. “I wanted to surprise my favorite people.”
“Thor’s going to be over the moon.” Natasha giggled.
“Where is he by the way?”
“Mission.” Everyone spoke in unison.
Nodding your head, you spent the rest of the day doing different activities with each person.
As you were laying in your room reading, there was a harsh knock on the door. Opening it you couldn’t stop the grin that had danced to your lips.
“Lady Y/N!” Thor exclaimed wrapping his arms around your waist, yanking you in for a hug. Lifting you off of the ground, he began twirling you in his arms.
Chuckling, he placed you back on your feet.
“This is my brother, Loki.” He gestured while grinning.
“Y/N.” You stated holding your hand out to shake.
Glancing at your hand, he looked back into your eyes before he scoffed striving down the hall.
Frowning Thor turned towards you. “I’m sorry about him.”
“It’s okay! I missed you.”
The rest of the day, Thor had barely left your side. He had become one of your best friends since you had joined the Avengers.
Since that day, Loki had intrigued you. He was quiet and brooding. His onyx hair was smooth and wavy while his ocean blue eyes seemed to bore into your soul. You had made it your mission to befriend him, while he seemed to make it his mission to reject you.
Almost everyone had gone away on a mission, except for you, Bruce, Sam and Loki. Bruce had locked himself away in the Lab, while Sam had gone somewhere on a mini mission of his own.
The soft pelting of rain against the roof and windows, sounded through the tower as it was practically silent. You had spent most of the day, wandering around and leaving little surprises and gifts for your friends. Grabbing your book, you mosey over to the living room. Much to your surprise, y/e/c was met with the same ocean blue ones that were avoiding you.
Once you locked eyes, you halted your steps immediately.
“Sorry.” You muttered sadly, dropping your gaze to the ground. Turning on your heel, you quickly made your way to the door. A strong hand wrapped around your wrist preventing you from moving further.
“Stay.” A deep voice spoke in a hushed tone.
Nodding your head, he let go of your wrist curiously watching your actions. Without meeting his gaze, you made your way over the window sill that you often used as your reading nook.
Being engulfed in your novel, you hadn’t noticed the man occupying the seat in front of you, until his outstretched leg softly bumped yours. Startled you, a soft gasp fell from your lips.
“I didn’t mean to scare you.” He spoke quietly.
Nodding your head, you resumed reading. Without looking up from your book, you broke the silence.
“What?” You questioned. “Do I have something on my face?”
“No.” He spoke quickly.
Heat rose in your cheeks, as your eyes met his once again.
“What is it?” You prompted while raising an eyebrow at him over your book.
“Nothing.” He replied raising his book signalling the end of the conversation.
Resuming your place in your novel, you saw out of your peripheral vision the soft gaze of the ocean eyes as they drank in your features.
“There you are Brother!” Thor boomed as he entered the living room. Stopping in the middle of the living room, sending him a smirk.
Both you and Loki jumped at the sudden loud noise. Before gazing at the blonde giant.
Quickly rising to your feet, you scurried out of the room.
“What?” Loki snapped returning to his book.
“You like her.” Thor occupied the seat you had previous left.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Loki denied.
Silence fell between them, before Thor spoke again.
“She’s a great girl.” He stated.
Loki huffed in annoyance before he stomped out of the living room, only to be greeted with giggles in the hallway. As he searched for the source of the sound, he stood in front of Wanda’s bedroom door. The door was left open slightly, revealing you and Natasha sitting on one side of the bed. His lifts morphed into a soft smile.
Later that night the girls had took over the living room, practically screaming at Jarvis to request your presence. Their giggling had filled the hallway leading to the living room.
“What are you guys doing?” You questioned as a giggle fell from your lips.
“Impromptu girls night!” Wanda exclaimed.
Stepping in front of them, you rolled your eyes in a playful manner. Joining them on the couch, you began watching Rom-Com movies. Not long after the second movie, Wanda initiated a talk about your love lives. As if on cue, the living room door opened revealing a sweatpant clad Loki.
“I...I uh just came to check on you girls.” He spoke in a hushed tone, shifting from foot to foot visibly uncomfortable. Before he could say anything further, Wanda had yanked him forward, causing him to land flush beside you on the couch.
“Nat!” She shrieked giggling at Natasha. “There’s a boy in our girls night room!”
Natasha giggled in response. Gazing between your two friends, it dawned on you that they had probably been drinking before you joined them.
Turning to glance at Loki, a smile made its way to your lips. Wanda positioned herself so that she was cuddling into Loki’s side, as she asked him question after question, while none of which seemed to annoy him, if they did he hid it rather well.
Lifting his gaze to the end of the couch, where yours was as he returned your smile. At some point during the night, you had fallen asleep on Loki. Wanda and Natasha were in deep slumber on the floor, covered by blankets and pillows.
A loud boom startled you awake, causing a soft groan to escape from underneath you.
“Sorry.” You whispered, as you began unwrapping yourself from Loki.
“Stay.” He pleaded quietly. “Please.”
Nodding, you laid back in your previous position. Gazing into his ocean blue eyes, you gently raised your hand touching his cheek. Closing his eyes, he leaned into your touch. As you fell back asleep, you felt Loki, pull you closer.
“Guys we have a huge problem.” Tony spoke joining the team for breakfast. Loki had opted to sit beside you, allowing his thigh to rest firmly against yours. As Tony explained, your heart fell into your stomach knowing nothing good would come from this mission.
“Pesky little things.” Galaticus spoke as flung Natasha into Clint, causing them both to hit the ground with a thud.
“Get out of here!” Sam yelled towards you. “Now!”
Sam was in the air flying around trying to distract him.
“I have to agree with wingman.” Thor spoke up as he and his brother joined your side.
“You know I can’t do that.” You stated as a sadness was evident in your voice. Glancing around, you were trying to come up with a plan. “They’re my friends.”
“I know.” He confirmed, placing a hand on your shoulder. “Can’t blame me for trying.”
You nodded your head.
“What’s the plan?” He questioned.
“What makes you think I have a plan?” You asked looking around the battle scene.
He scoffed in response. “When don’t you?”
Loki’s blue eyes, captured yours as you were going over the plan with Thor. One of Galacus’s minions took advantage of Loki being distracted charging at him and knocking him to the ground.
Your feet had immediately took you towards Clint’s bow and arrow.
“Y/N!” Clint yelled catching your attention. “Catch!”
He tossed you his bow and arrows. Catching it, you furiously began shooting arrows at a rapid pace, taking the enemy out one by one.
Adrenaline began pumping through your veins as your chest began rising and falling rapidly.
“Y/N!” Steve yelled towards you nodding.
Running at full speed at Steve, he lifted you on his shield before using his strength to assist your continuation into the air. Shooting your arrow at Galacus, you managed to pierce his shoulder, earning a strangled cry of pain from him.
Tumbling down to the ground with a harsh thud, he began his decent on you. Thor stepped in taking him by surprise, allowing you to scramble out of harms way.
Stepping out of the shower, you moved your tank top strap slightly, as you caught sight of your bruised shoulder. It looked worse than it felt. There was a large black and blue hue to it. Sighing, you shook your head exiting the bathroom.
A large figure perched on the edge of your bed, caused a yelp to fall from your lips as you placed a hand over your heart.
“Sorry love.” Loki’s voice filled the air. “I didn’t mean to scare you.”
You scoffed.
“What you did today...Was stupid.”
You rolled your eyes in response.
“You could’ve died today!” Loki explained as he raised his voice.
“So?” You challenged, crossing your arms over your chest. “Everyone else on the team has done so many, many times. I don’t see you yelling at them!”
“I don’t care about them!” He exclaimed. Once the realization of his confession dawned on him, you watched a tinted pink color dance along his cheeks.
Your voice was barely above a whisper. “You care about me?”
“Of course I do. You’re my brothers pet human.” Loki spat. “I would hate for anything to happen to you, it would devastate my brother. Besides, you’re a useless human. I don’t see why everyone is so fond of you.”
His harsh words cut inadvisable wounds. Tears began to pool in your eyes, threatening to fall. Your heart felt as if it shattered into a million tiny pieces.
A whimper fell from your lips, somehow being the only sound you could manage. As tears began streaming down your cheeks before a sob shook through your body. Daring to glance at him, his expression softened as he made a movement to reach out and touch you.
Your body involuntarily winced, causing him to freeze his actions.
“I...I think you should go.” You strangled out.
“Y/N...”
Opening your door, you held it open for him not bothering to look at him.
He let out a sigh before leaving your room.
Since your last encounter with him, you hadn’t ventured out of your room for much more than a bite to eat. The rest of the team noticed, trying to coax you out of your room.
It was a late night, one that you were practically struggling to sleep. There was a soft knock on your door, signalling you weren’t the only one struggling.
Shock coursed through your veins as y/c/n met a familiar ocean pair.
“Y/N.” He spoke catching the door, as you immediately attempted to shut it. “Please.” Loki pleaded, his eyes filled with sorrow.
“Why should I?” You hissed. “So you can let me know just how much of a useless human I am?”
“No, I-”
“I don’t care.” You cut him off, not caring to hear his explanation. Before you knew it, you were sitting on your bed while Loki stood cautiously in front of you.
“I’m sorry.”
Scoffing you rolled your eyes.
“That day.” He let out a frustrated sigh. “I...I was scared. I was scared you were going to get terribly hurt. I wouldn’t know what I would have done if you did.”
Looking down at your hands, you shook your head. “Not your problem.”
“I want it to be my problem.” He spoke, kneeling in front of you placing a hand on your cheek. “I care about you deeply.”
You raised your gaze to his eyes.
“I can see why my brother is so fond of a brave human like you.”
He leaned forward, nuzzling his nose against yours. His lips centimetres in front of yours, as if he was afraid of kissing you. Lacing one of your hands through his hair, you closed the small space. His lips were surprisingly soft. It wasn’t a long kiss, but enough to say everything his voice couldn’t.
Pulling away, you rested your foreheads against each other, before crawling back under the covers. Lifting up the edge of it, you silently invited him to join you. His unsure gaze held your confident one. Slowly, he slid under the blankets. Making himself comfortable he wrapped his arms around you, tugging you impossibly closer, as your head rested on his chest. The sound of his heart thumping, was enough of a melody for you to fall asleep.
