Do you think they can make an English version of Nobody Knows? And what kid actors would you cast.
I normally answer questions privately, but I actually would like to get some input on this. I say this because this is a good question, however I don't really know child actors.
I do think an english remake of Nobody Knows [Dare mo Shiranai] can be made, and actually be good. The thing about Nobody Knows is, it's very a quiet film, it doesn't rely on dialogue. Instead emotions are conveyed heavily with expressions, mannerisms, behaviors, reactions, etc. Even when the children emote, there's a layer of subtly to it. The movie doesn't need dramatic reactions, the situation the children are in is sad enough. Adding dramatics would've just cheapened the movie, in my opinion. Do you know any American child actors that could pull this off? If so, then I'd look forward to a remake.
Also, regarding the remake, you can have a multiracial main cast. Since all four children have different fathers, it'd be dope to see mixed raced siblings bonding they way the children did in the movie. Them being "only" half sisters/brothers wasn't an issue in the film, they didn't bring any importance to it. It was just family. And I really liked that about the film, so I'd like to see that carry over.
