My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; When shall I come and appear before God?

Psalm 63:1 A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly; My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, In a dry and weary land where there is no water.

Psalm 143:6 I stretch out my hands to You; My soul longs for You, as a parched land. Selah.

With a yearning desire, I wait quietly, longing to see you, to hear Your voice.  I wrestle with myself, halting fleeting thoughts, anxious thoughts that compete for Your time. Determined to press through, I begin again, and again, yet again. This time a little closer, a little longer in Your presence, More Lord, more! I am hungry, thirsty, in need, in want, yearning, waiting, quietly with You, for You. And then... This time spent longing, and yearning concludes with an encounter. An encounter that leaves me longing and yearning for even more of You. In Your presence, No words can express the things You speak to me, and try as I may, try as I might...I wait, silently, speechless longing yearning for our next encounter.
