As someone who went through abuse in my childhood, Looking For Squirrels meant so much to me. At first I wasn't sure if I should read it, but I'm so glad I did, because it was so cathartic and really well written. I'm so happy Jennifer wrote this story for her fans who may be abuse survivors and also that she did so in a delicate and thoughtful way.
Backyard sentry is on duty!
When Princess Leia isn’t getting butt scritches on the family room couch, she sometimes gets into the living room and sits on the end of that couch, where she can look down and inspect the backyard.
If her doggie nemesis, Dora, is spotted one backyard over, she’ll go nuts barking worse than she does for squirrels. The neighbors’ WiFi is named “PeteKim&Dora” so when I did the upgrade recently to my parents’ network, I changed the name to be “PrincessLeiasHaus.”
Looking for squirrel villagers!!!
