Summary: your days slowly became lively recently, you don't really know why. perhaps it started when you began receiving gifts from a secret admirer

he was happy, really happy, but Johan isn't the type to not return favors. it didn't feel right that someone anonymous had moved his mom to a VIP room, nor did it feel right that her surgery was suddenly done when the doctors kept telling him it would take possibly years for her to even get scheduled. he started connecting the dots that whoever had moved his mom, was also responsible for the early schedule as well.

now he was wondering.

" Who did this...?"

"Y/N!! Y/N!! hurry! look what's on your desk!" Zoe began yelling once she saw you walk through the school corridors, gaining the attention of bystanders as she pulled you in the room

"what the..?" you stared in amusement once finding, yet another present box.

it's been like this for a few days now, you don't exactly know who was doing it, but you did find it amusing.

grabbing the note on top of the box, you couldn't help but smile as you read it.

"The doctor says I'm lacking in vitamin U- pfft that's so corny!!"

Zoe giggled. "well I find it romantic, right Danny?" she asked, obviously trying to hint Daniel at something.

the tall boy just nodded, not really getting what Zoe was trying. "do you think Piggy would like secret gifts- oh what am I saying!!" she quickly covers her mouth and runs back towards your side, excited to yet again see the contents of the box

once opening it, it was yet again filled with sweets and snacks, still not leaving any other hints as to who this secret admirer might be.

"oh my!! your Secret Admirer seems to know his food!" Zoe giggles "what if it's piggy? no no! he wouldn't do something like this"

Mira then started walking towards the two of you. "wow, how many of these did you get so far Y/N?"

Opening one of the candy bags, you gave Mira and Zoe a piece. "this is my fourth one this week, whoever they are, I think they don't want to reveal themselves" you began explaining, popping the candy in your mouth as you squealed in delight.

Zack glanced at the candies and rolled his eyes. "They're a coward for not wanting to show themselves" he snickered, grabbing a piece of candy from the box but before he could do so, his hand was swatted by Mira.

"well I think it's romantic" Mira says with a glare, as if telling Zack to not grab candy without your permission, which Zack didn't understand.

"Mira I can buy you all the candy you want! I'll even add a corny joke if you want!!" he says as he gives Mira the candy that he stole from the box, before giving his signature corny smile "If you were a fruit you'd be a fine-apple" he grins before giving her a wink.

Zoe, who was clinging onto Mira, gave Zack a disgusted look. "ugh Mira!! you should dump him"

"I agree! he not only stole my candy, but also stole my pickup line! Mira baby you shouldn't be with a thief!" you jokingly said, further irking Zack.

"Oi!! shut up! your secret admirer is probably ugly!"

Mira just rolls her eyes, grabbing the candy from Zack and putting it back in the box. "it doesn't suit you, and you shouldn't say stuff like that" she scolds, which immediately folds Zack into apologizing.

But something did make Zack notice the candies, one of them felt familiar, almost nostalgic. Though he cant exactly remember when he last ate one.

A couple more days have passed, and the gifts seem to not plan to stop at all. Every day, there would be a new present and another small note on top.

No matter how hard you try to catch your secret admirer, it looks as if they're two steps ahead of you every single time. from arriving at school early, to even trying to see if they leave the gift a day before.

it turned into a routine that your friends aren't even surprised anymore.

"whoever they are, they seem determined" Daniel spoke from behind you, reading the note that was in your hands.

you only sighed. "yeah, but at this point, I'm feeling guilty receiving a gift every day, I wish they show up soon"

Daniel hummed, grabbing the card from your hand and inspecting it. it didn't look like anything out of the ordinary, just a normal piece of paper, with a pickup line and dots at the back. wait- dots? "what if they've been giving out their name since the beginning using these dots?" Daniel jokes.

You stared at him, then back at the card, then back to him.

"what?"

quickly grabbing the card back from Daniel, you quickly started inspecting the dots. It looked like Morse code, but it didn't have any lines.

at first, it would have just looked like decorations on a piece of paper, but the more you looked at it, the more it seemed suspicious.

"What is this..?"

A couple days have passed even more and the gifts did not stop, You sat at one of the cafeteria tables alone, it was free period and you just wanted to take a breather from the chaoticness of your classroom.

writing stuff down, you began decoding the codes at the back of the paper cards. it didn't take you long to realize that it was Tap code.

the code from before was difficult as whoever wrote it didn't add any spaces, the message revealing to be "Ihopeyoulikemygifttoday"

the other cards had other stuff written on them, but none of it had indicated what the sender's name or even what they look like were.

"what's that Y/n?" Jace asks, leaning from your shoulder to see your messy table.

"ah Jace!, it's nothing, some random secret admirer kept sending me gifts and secret codes" you explained which got Jace a little interested in what you were doing.

Sitting next to you, he stared at the paper cards and snickered. "why won't they just reveal themselves already? honestly, this is kinda creepy"

you only chuckled a bit. "It's fine, but I really do want to meet whoever it was and thank them"

he glanced at you and hummed. "What if he's a thug? or what if he isn't even at our school? what would you do?" he asked, promptly laying his chin on top of his hand

"I don't think bad thugs would go through lengths like these just to court someone, I wouldn't mind as long as I meet them and properly thank them" you explained

Jace nods, a small smile painted on his lips as he stands up. "all right then, I should go, see ya around Y/n"

you tilted your head but waved goodbye at him. "weird" you murmured

"I'm telling you dude, you should just go show yourself already! she's getting really guilty with all your gifts" Jace complained, setting down his and Johan's tray of food on the table.

Johan was stubborn, the moment he found out that you were responsible for his mother's treatment, he tried, he truly tried getting closer to you but with his years of lacking social cues, he did not know where to start.

so at first, he just watched from afar, he followed you everywhere, making sure you weren't a threat to him, but as he did so.

he started liking your little actions towards others. From helping an old lady by buying all her dalgona candies, to taking care of a small puppy that had been abandoned.

slowly, while he inspected you, he started liking you.

but he didn't know how to tell you, or even how to show you his gratitude for your good deed.

that was until he remembered that Jace still owed him one

thats where he came in.

Jace would leave gifts on your table, with code writings and silly pick up lines that he and Johan found on the internet.

but Jace's patience was getting thin as well, he didn't like how frustrated you started to look whenever you receive yet another gift.

"I promise you, she said she's willing to meet you" Jace kept saying, lightly kicking Johan's boots from under the table.

Johan huffed. "she wouldn't like me, i'm basically a homeless man"

"a homeless man with a bag filled with money, what are you on about? she said she doesn't care"

he thought about it for a while but continued with a firm no. he simply thought that he didn't deserve someone like you, maybe in the future if he lived better, but right now?

right now he just plans to stick to being anonymous...

or so he thought..

"How are you mrs. Seong?" You asked, it's been exactly two months since her surgery and she had been recovering pretty quickly. these past weeks the doctor had allowed her to walk around the Hospital's parks.

it was currently a saturday and you had decided to visit the nice ol lady.

"Y/N! im doing well dearie, what are you doing here?" she asks while you help her sit on one of the benches.

grinning, you pulled out a small box filled with pastries from your backpack. "came to visit you mrs. Seong, I like talking to you"

"thank you y/n but you really shouldn't have brought a gift"

"don't worry it's alright"

she smiled, patting the pastry box that settled on her lap. "My son Johan likes these types of pastries" she started saying. you never really met this Johan guy, all you know is that he was a sweet boy (this came from his mother) but also kind of an asshole (this came from Zack). so you never really properly created any opinions about him.

but you did like it whenever his mom gets into a good mood when she starts talking about him. "yeah, but we could rarely afford them so I would always save up and buy him a box whenever it's his birthday"

you only smiled, silently listening to her little rants and stories. that was until she stopped and looked from behind you, her smile growing even wider than before.

"Speaking of the devil" she giggled. "come here Johan, I want you to meet someone!"

once you turned around, there you saw him.

He was really tall, his hair bungled everywhere and he looked stunned at your presence.

smiling at him, you waved and stood up. "Hi! you must be Johan! i've heard a lot of you from your mom, I'm Y/N" you introduced yourself, placing your hand in front of him

Johan stared at your hand, not knowing what to do "....hello" he murmured, shaking your hand.

He wasn't expecting that. He still isn't comprehending this.

You had stayed with them until visitation hours had closed, and because it was already pretty late, his mom had urged him to walk you home.

both of you only walked in silence but in no way was it awkward.

"so, which school do you go to Johan?" you started to ask while waiting for the crosswalk to go green.

he hesitated for a moment before answering that he had dropped out since middle school.

"ah, that's alright, I mean school isn't for everyone" you shrugged, not really judging his decisions.

"you don't mind that im a drop out?"

you looked at him weirdly before laughing "Who cares? you're really nice anyways, honestly I was kind of scared of you because of what Zack told me about you, but I can tell that those were all lies"

he nods, looking down at the pavement. once the lights turned green, the two of you started walking across the street, you would notice how his hand your reach towards your back, pushing you to his side, sort of protecting you, just in case.

he really is sweet.

"well this is where I stay, thank you for walking me" you smiled, waving at him before turning around. but before doing so, you called for him again "Johan wait!!"

he stopped his tracks, slowly looking back at your approaching form, your phone in one of your hands

"do you want to exchange numbers? i'd like to be your friend"

"oh- sure" he quickly looked for his phone and exchanged numbers.

he waited for you to enter your house before leaving. staring at his phone with a soft smile, he decided then and then

contacting Jace, he told him. "in the next gift, write down that I want to meet her, i'll send you the details"

"WHAT?? SERIOUSLY??"

Daniel x F! Reader Short Oneshot

If Y/N's life was a children's play it would be Hide and Seek. Her, being the seeker of her own play.

She walked through the busy streets of Seoul after obtaining the information that her friend, Daniel moved in there from his mother herself.

The two friends was often described as up and down. With Y/N being at the top of the food chain unlike Daniel who was at the bottom due to the inequity of the world they were living in.

Their little game began when the female ran away from her toxic and suffocating home and decided to flee to Canada using her own savings without even uttering a single word to everyone including Daniel himself.

She was his one and only friend, thus, he did his utmost to spot her whereabouts. With Daniel being not that genius that time, it was astonishing how he locate her by just stalking the old social media accounts she barely use. The both then resumed being in contact after almost a year without any interaction but Dein still refused to come home.

She decided to return back to Korea after approximately 3 years. Many months ago, Daniel stopped responding to her messages to her confuse. She needed a lot of time to finish her works at the foreign country and when she did, she instantly went back without being hesitant just to search for her little friend who was hiding from her.

Her seeking began a week ago but to no luck, she still haven't got a hold of him. She first started searching for Daniel at the said school where he transferred but she didn't caught a sight of him and left immediately since attending the school wasn't an option to her due to her advanced homeschooling at the young age.

The searching she do starts at morning and ends at dusk so she could respond to business emails at night. Unbeknownst to her, that was the reason why she haven't spotted him yet as his original body was only found awake at night.

She once again tried her luck and walked around nonstop just to catch a glimpse of the familiar short male.

But instead of seeing a short male, she caught a sight of a tall attractive male instead making her stop on her tracks.

He was interacting with a blonde male whose back was facing the female. Both was walking with their pets, one female dog and four puppies, probably her pups.

The girl watched as the two bid their goodbyes to each other to go to their separate ways. The black haired male stopped mid-step as he came face to face with the female, eyes locked, both with different emotions; one pair full of surprise and one pair with visible relief.

Y/N chuckled under her breath before bringing her sight back to the pair of dark eyes she wholeheartedly memorized infront of her. The exact same words that Daniel said to her 2 years ago slipped from her mouth.

"Found you."
