So, I know you were on a Gereskel kick earlier, and since I'm apparently now OBSESSED with muto, how about young Geralt and Eskel finding out / learning to deal with this new side of themselves? Or or, in the theme of possessive Eskel, how about the first time Eskel meets Jaskier and his wolfy brain just screams to sit on Geralt like a giant dog claiming his human? XD I just couldn't get the image out of my head of Geralt being absolutely floored by this big black wolf flopping on him. đ€
Ah!! Youâre such a lovely human, thank you so much for coming to chat. :3 I actually have a part 2 in which Geralt is processing how to deal with himself after the trials, so Iâm going to save that for a bit, and instead Iâll give you Possessive!Eskel with Geralt!
Jaskier was exhausted from the trek into the city, wanting nothing more than to collapse onto a bed in the inn that Geralt insisted on going to. Thankfully, Geralt took them to the inn straight away.
âIâm going inside to get a room,â Jaskier said with a yawn as Geralt got Roach settled in at the stables.
âUse my name. They know me here.â Jaskier shrugged, but went inside. The innâs lobby was busy with travelers coming in from trips nearby, people enjoying meals at the tables in the makeshift tavern area, and staff working behind the counters. The energy of the place was nice, and any other time, he might have wanted to play for a few hours.
âHow can I help you?â Asked the man as Jaskier got to the front. âIf youâre looking for a room, weâve only got ones on the ground level.â
âThatâs perfectly alright,â Jaskier said with a smile. âIâm here with a friend, Geralt of Rivia. He said you know him?â
A smile crept across the innkeepâs face, then he looked at something over Jaskierâs shoulder. âGeraltâs helped me out a few times. Hell of a Gwent player, too. You can have a room in the back, itâll be quieter.â He took a key from a ring that he withdrew from his pocket and slid to Jaskier. âYou take care now.â
âThank you!â Jaskier said, and turned to start walking, only to run facefirst into a firm chest. âGeralt, watch where youâre-â
âWhere is he?â A voice that was decidedly not Geralt asked in a low tone. âI can smell him all over you.â
âExcuse me, sir, but I donât...â Jaskier took a step back to look at who was speaking, and found a tall man with firm yellow eyes and scars running down one side of his face. His mouth was pulled into a sneer, though it seemed to be from the open spot parting his lips. âYouâre a Witcher,â he said quietly.
âWhere is Geralt?â He asked. Jaskier noticed his nose twitching, as if sniffing repeatedly. âHave you done something to him?â
âEr, no, heâs... heâs just outside with Roach.â
The man turned, sniffing the air again. Jaskier followed his gaze, and then sighed in relief as Geralt walked through the door. Jaskier watched his pupils narrow into skits before blowing wide, and he shoved aside people until he was face to face with the man.
âGeralt, do you... know him?â
âWhich room are we in?â Geralt asked, still not looking at Jaskier.
âThe um, the back. But Geralt- Hey- Wait!â
Geralt had started walking as soon as Jaskier finished speaking, taking the hand of the other man and tugging him along. He sighed in annoyance as they vanished from his sight, then walked around the corner after them. Geralt opened the door at the end of the hall, and in front of Jaskierâs eyes, the large scarred man suddenly vanishedâ and a black wolf took his place. Muto, Geralt had called it. Geraltâs face turned poutyâ
âYou know I canât fucking shift in buildings, Eskel. What do youââ Geralt was cut off when the wolf, presumably Eskel, stood up on his back paws and pushed Geralt over by the shoulders. Jaskier got into the room and witnessed Eskel licking Geraltâs face, even goin so far as to lick into his mouth, though not without some spluttering from Geralt. Jaskier could tell it was difficult for him to stay in his human formâ his hands twitched and flexed while he buried them in Eskelâs thick fur. Eskel laid on top of Geralt, effectively pinning him down, his tail wagging wildly behind him.
âShut the door, Jaskier,â Geralt said, closing his eyes serenely. Jaskier must have made a face, but he listened anyway. When he turned around, Geralt was embracing Eskel, burying his face into his fur. âI missed you,â he sighed. Eskel whined in response, and Jaskier caught a glimpse of Geralt smiling. Eskel huffed a sound against him, trying to push Geralt away againâ âNo, what? Heâs just aââ Geraltâs eyes flicked over to Jaskier. âA bard.â
Eskel, the wolf, looked over at him and his tail stopped wagging. A slight smile curled over his lips as he moved until Haskier could no longer see Geralt, and, at Geraltâs splutter, must have begun licking him once again.
Jaskier would never understand these wolves.
This got SO LONG Iâm so sorry!!! This ask got super out of hand, I started getting carried away with Eskel just wanting to see Geralt and I was like, inches from not even adding in the shapeshifting. Anyway, I hope you like it!!
