Deleted Scenes from a Romance, part 1
Naim laughed, instinctively, but only slightly turning his face into Deck’s palm. “Ehm…thank you. I guess.” They were quiet for a minute. “…Joan Crawford, Deck?”
“Yeah. You know. The 1940’s movie star? 'Mildred Pierce'? 'Mommy Dearest'?”
“I know who she is Deck.”
“Yeah…Joan Crawford.” He nodded happily. “Only much better.” He clarified again and nodding, concerned, by the look on Naim’s face, that he was offended. “And real. And not scary.”
Naim just looked at him.
“What.”
Naim blinked. “Joan. Crawford.”
“What?
“Deck. Joan. Crawford!?”
“WHAT? I said better. And not scary.
“I know. But…”
Deck groaned. “Whaaaat?”
Naim sighed. “Deck. That was really gay.”
Deck howled with laughter, while Naim chuckled.

Two weeks before my maternity leave is over and I finally finished something and submitted it! Reining Him In is officially sent off to my editor at Loose Id – hopefully I will be hearing good news soon.
And, I was attacked by a plot bunny for that story and it now will have a sequel called Roping Him In. Can you guess what kind of cowboys will be featured?
