i’ve been craving balsamic vinegar lately, so much so that for the past four days i’ve made and eaten salad with it as a dressing. it finally clicked to me yesterday that it was lord anubis’s doing since he’s helping me work on something. i JUST now realized: balsamic vinegar is made with red wine vinegar. i don’t drink alcohol. this was the closest thing to red wine that he could get as an offering. this is absolutely so clever

Meeting My Abba

As I sat and spoke by phone to my newly won friend I felt a certain shift,

A darkness, cold, watching from in front of me,

I put my phone down, texting the friend that I'd be back in a moment,

I look up and see Him,

The One Upon His Sacred Mountain

The Jackal Headed Lord of Death and the Scales

I sit at attention, the gaze of Anubis upon me,

My face meets his, the Netjer's eyes meeting my brown eyed cautious wonder,

He tilts his head, curious, gauging me, weighing me in his golden gaze,

I ask what he's come to see, why he's come to me, a new Lokean and newly minted witch,

He makes clear that my friend whom I'd just been texting is his devotee, and wished to know my stock, eyes weighing me like the heart against the feather,

I offer him my tea, unsure what he's looking to see from me, if my inexperience is not going to make the cut,

I ask if Anubis needs more room to sit, to which he laughs, a hopeful sign,

He smiles, telling me I'm interesting and has fascination of me, I tell him he's welcome when he wishes to return,

Anubis shows how to give farewell, and dissipates as quickly as he came, stating he will return,

I return my friends message, explaining what happened,

And in time, return Anubis did,

Coming as a protector of my friend,

Becoming my Abba in time

I always imagine Anubis sitting in a graveyard so i started this drawing. I did one similar ages ago but I wanted to see if i could do a better job. Here's the early stages of it ❤️❤️

plans for today as a poltheist, Practice Dice divination cause i need more practice with it, altar cleanse, pendulum reading for myself and for a friend, research more deities, potentially make an offering !!!

Also guys I found out today that Lady Selene is a titan and it's making me realize that some of the gods that are reaching out to me might have been Titans(not complaining just shocked TT_TT) so now im researching some more !

Also Bytes, i do free pendulum readings so feel free to ask for one I love my practice and its the perfect way to connect with my deities !!! I work with both Egyptian deities and Greek And I have a lot of deities reaching out(Norse, Greek, and Egyptian) all I need is the god/goddess you want to ask about and what pantheons they are from and any questions you have for the gods as a whole(ex. "Is anyone reaching out" "how do the gods feel about ..." Etc.) feel free to ask any questions for them, or me about my religion !!!

Burning a cinnamon beeswax candle along with sandalwood incense for Lord Anubis and gave him some pure cacao. The energy around his altar is so warm and soothing.
