Names (Inosuke x Reader) *fluff*

“You better remember my name because Lord Inosuke is going to rule the world one day!”

Let’s be honest. Inosuke can’t pronounce names.

Well, you can’t either.

Both you and Inosuke had similar personalities. Chaotic and loud. However, you were more knowledgeable than him of course. 

“OI KONJIRO!” “It’s Tanjiro!”

The two of you always managed to scare and annoy others. Once, the two of you even worked together to prank Zenitsu, considering that he was the easiest out of the squad to play pranks on. 

“DO YOU KNOW WHERE HONOSUKA IS?” You cupped your hands together and shouted at the boy who was literally standing right next to you, threatening the lives of his eardrums. “He’s right there Y/N. You don’t have to shout.” Tanjiro released a sigh while rubbing his right ear, knowing that you will never be quiet.

Thanking Tanjiro loudly, you headed towards Inosuke who was busy chasing after Zenitsu, begging the poor blonde boy to fight with him non-stop. 

“OIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII JANOSUKEEEEEE! FIGHT ME!” You screamed at his face, diverting all his attention from Zenitsu to you. 

“IT’S LORD INOSUKE TO YOU, (mispronounced name)!” “IT’S KING/QUEEN Y/N TO YOU, ANOSUKA!” “IT’S-”

Yeah...instead of sparring, this is what you two spent your time on.

‘These two never stop.’ Sighing in defeat, Tanjiro stared at you two from afar while sweatdropping.

TIME SKIP

“INASUKI!” “WRONG, IT’S INOSUKE, (another mispronounced name)!” “WRONG, IT’S Y/N!”

Tanjiro gave the two of you a bet another day. Whoever gets each other’s name correct can get whatever they want from the loser, which means they have to pronounce each other’s names correctly every time. Being people with pride, both Inosuke and you refused to back down. So whenever the two of you meet, you just randomly shout out each other’s names and correct one another before proceeding to do your own thing again.

Until one day...

“INOSUKA!” “WRONG BUT CLOSE, IT’S INOSUKE!” “UGH, I KNEW IT WAS INOSUKE!” 

Crashing your forehead down on the table where Inosuke was sitting directly across you, you sighed in desperation, wondering how long could this go on any further. Well, at least your correction was accurate this time, making Inosuke grin widely at you in approval while vigorously nodding his head, his mouth full of the tempura that you made him for lunch.

“Y/N!”

To say you were shocked was an understatement. Your jaw was literally hanging wide open while Inosuke cackled maniacally. “I DID IT! YOU HAVE TO GIVE ME A REWARD! MUAHAHAHAHA!” 

You were now standing up, clutching your head in desperation while Inosuke was running around the entire room, extremely delighted that he finally accomplished the impossible. 

“Ugh, what do you wa-”

Just as you groaned in frustration, Inosuke had forcefully cupped your tiny face in his large hands and gave you a quick peck on your lips. Face growing redder every second, you tried to process what was going on before he pecked you again on the nose after pronouncing your name accurately again.

Unable to back down, you shouted his name correctly once more and returned his kiss with your own kiss on his lips. Now it was his turn to blush. The both of you just stood in the middle of your dining room in your estate, exchanging each other’s names loudly along with never-ending kisses.

Finally, your exchange stopped with both of you taking slow deep breaths with your foreheads pressed against one another. Grinning widely at each other, it appears that you and Inosuke had the very same thought.

“My Lord Inosuke.”

“My King/Queen Y/N.”

The fact that he just makes up a new technique in the middle of battle is hahahahaha, he is so precious!!!!. Please protect him!!!!! Reminds me a bit of Luffy.
