Yessss I much preferred Farrel! Really ticked me off that Depp aka guy fieri is Grindelwald. He just isn't convening to me and I was really enjoying Farrel's performance. Plus, not a big fan of how they just rehashed the plot twist from goblet of fire. Not exactly the same but still!
yES EXACTLY! gosh i really enjoyed his performance, like the bits where he was manipulating credence i was like oooh shit you’re evil wtf, like they set him up as morally grey, then it turned out he was just grindelwald in disguise so like??? what?? and the goblet of fire rehash, man that’s true! like i still like the twist, it was very characteristic of the series as a whole, but you’re right, it did seem a little goblet of fire.

and like he’s so important to the next 4 movies??? we’re supposed to sit through 4 sequels of depp when tbh anyone else could have done the job. like are we supposed to believe that out of the vast expanse of hollywood, there were no other actors, big or small, that could have done it??
and it’s really funny bc depp had one line and i couldn’t even make it out lmfao, like newt gets this funny look on his face when he hears him and i’m like ???? he’s mumbling, he’s gonna have to speak up in future man
