what is your favourite vampire book and what book would you recommend

i have an embarrassing confession to make. Up until fairly recently, i havent been much of a reader, all of my vampjre knowledge mostly comes from extensive Wikipedia readings of books and youtube video essays, and i only started properly reading books pretty recently after developing a caffiene addiction. (adhd things). I did used to read A LOT in middle school but i will NOT be giving u recommendations based off of my middle school taste LOL it wont be good....

This being said, as of rn, i dont have a favorite vampire book ive read personally, (my most recent read being Dracula) and because all my info on classic and modern vampire literature comes from wiki pages, i cannot comfortably give recommendations HOWEVER i do have a MASSIVE list of books (both modern nd classical) that i want to read so i will give u a few from that list! ill separate it by pre and post dracula since dracula is probably the most well known classical vampire books, it just feels right.

Rozdział III: Noc Namiętności

Kamienne posłanie świątyni rozgrzało się od ich ciał.

Zbroje spadły ciężko na ziemię — metaliczny stukot mieszał się z oddechami,

a ona usiadła na nim okrakiem, jej uda oplotły jego biodra jak pętle z Mocy.

Jej spojrzenie — ogniste, rozkazujące, nienasycone.

Jego wzrok — błagalny i dziki zarazem.

Dotykał jej bez strachu.

Gładko suną palcami po jej udach, po brzuchu, po piersiach, po karku…

Zostawał ślady, które nie są bólem — są zaznaczeniem terenu.

Jedno ciało opadło na drugie.

Byli w sobie.

Połączeni.

Poruszała się powoli — z gracją królowej i precyzją mistrzyni walki.

Ale w każdej fali był jęk. Drżenie.

I kiedy nachylała się, by pocałować go znowu, jej włosy muskały jego twarz…

…a on chwytał ją za biodra i przyciągał mocniej.

Szybciej. Głębiej. Brutalniej.

Nie bylo już Sithów ani Jedi.

Była tylko ona — jego ciemność.

I on — jej ogień.

Z każdym ruchem, z każdą chwilą, z każdym krzykiem Mocy —

zbliżali się do eksplozji.

Do rozbłysku, który mógł zniszczyć całą tę przeklętą świątynię.

I kiedy przyszedł finał…

Nie krzyczeli.

Bo wszystko, czym byli, krzyczało za nich.

Upadała na jego pierś.

Pocałował jej czoło.

Ramiona oplecione.

Oddechy mieszały się.

— „Jesteś potężna…” — szepnął jej do ucha.

— „Ale razem… jesteśmy nie do powstrzymania.”

Rozdział II: Próba Dotyku Mocy

Komnata wibruje.

Jej sylwetka spowita ciemnym światłem z kryształów ściennych.

Jest piękna w sposób, który łamie i buduje jednocześnie.

Jej oczy wyzywają go nie do posłuszeństwa… lecz do odwagi.

Idzie w jej stronę.

Powoli.

Z mocą, która nie płynie z rozkazu, lecz z prawa, które właśnie sobie przyznał.

Jego palce dotykają jej talii.

Przesuwają się w górę – po materiale, po jej skórze, po liniach siły, które łączą ich ciała.

Patrzy na niego… i nie powstrzymuje.

> — „To, co bierzesz… musisz utrzymać. Inaczej Moc Ci to odbierze.”

— „Nie tylko to utrzymam, Mistrzyni…” — odpowiada nisko, drżąco — „Ja Ci coś udowodnię.”

Ich usta sie spotykają — nie z łagodnością.

Z potrzebą.

Ze zderzeniem dwóch żywiołów, które nie potrafią istnieć osobno.

Wchodzi w nią nie mieczem, ale wolą.

Pocałunek rozsadza przestrzeń między nimi.

Ręce na karku, paznokcie w ramionach.

Świątynia drży. Kamienie pulsują.

To nie rytuał. To objawienie Mocy przez ciało.

Jej nogi oplatają jego biodra, a dłonie ściskają ją mocno, jakby świat się kończył i tylko ona mogła go utrzymać.

Nie ulega.

I w tym akcie —

W tym jęku —

W ich połączeniu —

rodzi się coś więcej.

Nie uczeń i mistrzyni.

Nie władza i poddanie.

Ale para.

Dwojga Sithów, którzy razem mają więcej niż wszyscy Jedi w historii.

W świątyni Valthariss właśnie zaiskrzyła nowa era.

Era Sithów nie uwięzionych przez zasadę,

lecz przez pragnienie.

Pride is a knife, the teacher said. Use it to cut others and it will cut you. It shines, it gleams, it hurts, and it makes it all the easier to hurt yourself. Pride is a gleaming prize that can be reached for, but never achieved. No matter what, pride will turn on you and cut you down. Pride can be a tool. Pride can be earned. Pride can be a poison.

It's a complicated thing to have. Harder than diamond, stronger than stone, ephemeral as mist... all of them at once. Rarest of all prizes for the downtrodden and unworthy like Pia. The Mistress called her ugly at every turn, even her own parents didn't want her and nobody else had until the Mistress had chosen her for training. Then... another found her and trained her for other things.

That was the teacher, and they took Pia away from the Mistress at any time they liked to bring her... here... and teach her things. Pia wasn't certain how it worked, the teacher kept things foggy, but it never seemed far and it never seemed to take very long, despite the fact that Pia was always working at it for hours. This lesson on Pride had taken but a minute, yet the arguing of it took far, far longer. "Y'ain't gonna make me poison the Mistress, is you? I ain't gonna poison th' Mistress."
